He exhaled and dropped to his elbows, sliding his dick free from Mav, unable to miss the wince from the other man. Douglas kissed him and shuffled to the bathroom to get a cloth. Returning, he found Mav in the same position, splayed in a star shape, and fast asleep. Douglas chuckled. He gingerly wiped Mav clean, then himself, and threw the cloth into the wash basket. Climbing into bed, he rearranged Mav’s body so that he draped over Douglas’s right side. Douglas pulled the cover over them and settled in for a nap. Another shower could wait.

What they’d done had less to do with teaching Mav about sensation play and more to do with Douglas’s instincts.

As much as Douglas had told Mav he was teaching him, he found the lines were blurring for him. What was he going to do about it?

****

“Sure. Come on up.”

Mav glanced at him, wide-eyed. Douglas didn’t know if this was a good idea or not, but if he turned Katrina away, she’d wonder what was going on.

Mav stood, gathering the papers they’d been going through. “I’ll get going.”

Douglas held out his hand. “No, you don’t need to. Katrina won’t mind about us.”

“Katrina?” Mav frowned.

Douglas smiled. “She’s a Domme but from a different club. We were friends at Oxford and found out early on we had similar extra-curricular activities. We’ve been best friends ever since.”

“I think I should go.”

Douglas’s heart raced. Mav was right, but Douglas wanted Mav to meet Katrina. He’d never felt the need to introduce his best friend to his play partners before, but he wanted to do this. He couldn’t explain things to Mav, but Katrina would understand as soon as she saw them together. She’d understand what Douglas couldn’t admit to himself, either in his head or out loud.

“You can if you want to, but I’d like you to stay and meet her. I think you’ll like her.”

Mav stared down at the papers in his hands, and Douglas allowed him the time to decide. They’d spent several more hours in bed, Douglas introducing Mav to silk and satin, and had eventually made it into the shower again. After, Mav had explained he’d brought some paperwork for them to go through, and they’d grabbed a snack and sat to go through it, giving each of them a breather from what had happened over the last few hours. Douglas had a feeling it would take them both a little while to figure out where they stood.

The lift doors opened, and Douglas raised his eyebrows at Mav. “Stay or go?”

Mav stared at him, and Douglas could see his hands trembling. “Stay,” he whispered.

Douglas smiled and pulled him into the seat next to him, pressing a kiss to his temple.

“I’m here! Have you missed me?” Katrina rounded the corner and stopped, mouth flapping.

Douglas smirked. “Mouth closed, dear. It’s not a pretty image of you.” Mav backhanded his chest, and Douglas laughed. “What? She’s used to me saying worse. Isn’t that right, Katrina?”

Closing her mouth with an audible snap, Katrina breezed into the room, holding a bottle of wine. “Well, well, well. What do we have here? Good job I brought several bottles.”

Katrina put the bottle down and lifted the bag from her shoulder, the sound of clinking filling the room. She pulled out three more bottles and dropped onto the seat opposite them.

“How did you know I wasn’t working?”

“I didn’t. I took a chance. If you weren’t here, I would’ve wallowed and drank all four bottles by myself.” She winked at Mav.

“They have relieved me of my extra duties as of tonight. Thankfully.” Douglas stood, pacing to the kitchen to retrieve glasses and a corkscrew.

“Pfft. You love the club. Stop pretending you don’t.”

Douglas placed the glasses on the table and picked up one bottle. “I do, but noteverynight.” He filled the glasses, holding one out to Katrina, passing another to Mav, then sitting back with his own and sliding his arm around Mav’s shoulders.

Katrina raised one perfectly shaped eyebrow. “Are you going to introduce us, or are we going to play charades until I get it right?”

Mav snorted beside him, and Douglas squeezed his shoulder.

Douglas glanced at Mav, who nodded minutely. “This is Maverick.”

Katrina peered at the table, no doubt taking in the paperwork scattered across the top, and stared at Douglas before leaning forward with her hand outstretched. “Nice to meet you, Maverick. If this bozo gets on your last nerve, hit me up. I’ll put him back in his place.”
