“You have no boundaries!” She threw up her hands.

“I don’t need boundaries with you because between you and me there aren’t any. That diary is a damn guide for me, and you know it.”

“It’s not.” She feigned shock.

I tsked right in her face. “Your breathing changes every time I’m in your room.”

“So?”

“So, it means you’re awake and letting me in there.”

“That shouldn’t make you comfortablestalkingme.”

“You consider me a stalker?” I asked, perplexed that she might have a point. “Interesting. Well, I only stalk you.”

Her chin trembled, and I saw her eyes welling with tears as she struggled to figure out her feelings. “You won’t come near me in public but you’re fine coming to me in the middle of the night. To terrorize me. To freaking haunt me. And now to fuck me like a thief taking what’s not his and what he doesn’t even want to own.”

“You never object, Bianca.” I reminded her in a bored tone, making it clear that she had just as much say in this as I did. “You rode my hand in the locker room because you like it. You’re as twisted as me or you would have commanded that I leave, pretty girl.”

“That’s not true.” She shook her head like she didn’t want it to be but knew it was. The tears rolled down her cheeks now. “I shouldn’t want anything to do with you, you know that? I shouldn’t have let you touch me. Not when you come to these parties with other women and tell men not to come near mebecause yourbrotheris going to marry me. Like it’s notyouwho cares.”

“I don’t.” I dragged a finger down the track her tears had made, considering my emotions. She was too damn wild and reckless for my brother, but she wasn’t mine to claim either. So I told her the lie that would make her categorize what we had. “I think you’ll be a decent screw, Bianca. And it should be me if it is going to be a stranger rather than my brother. I care too much about my family and the optics and the mess that you’ll cause if it isn’t me when you can’t keep your legs closed.”

I saw how the hate in her grew, how her cheeks turned pink with rage and her adrenaline spiked enough in her blood that goose bumps popped up all over her skin.

“I hope you burn in hell, Bane.”

I chuckled, “And yet you still want me to touch that wet pussy, don’t you?”

“No, I don’t.” She crossed her arms over her chest as if she could hide it from me, but I walked right up to her, pushed the ski mask up just enough, grabbed her wrists to uncover them, bent and licked a nipple and then dragged my teeth across it. She leaned into my mouth and moaned. She couldn’t resist just like I couldn’t resist her.

I hummed, pinning her wrists to the hay on either side of her hips. “Don’t deny that I know what you like, Bianca. I know exactly what you crave—you were practically made for me.”

Her chin lifted a fraction, defiance sparking in her eyes. “That doesn’t make what you’re doing okay.”

I laughed at that, low and unrestrained, before releasing her wrists to grip the warm skin of her bare thighs. Leaning in until my forehead rested against hers, I traced a slow circle against her with my thumb. “You and I both know nothing between us is ever going to be okay. I am never going to be okay. I wasn’t born to be sweet or safe. You’ll never get gentle hands or pretty wordsfrom me. What you need is the bite of my hate, especially with everyone else barely giving you the time of day.”

It was the truth—she was a commodity to her father, a crowned jewel he was able to pawn from his empire, while I was the fucked-up heir of its rival. Everyone knew I was Stefano Black’s unhinged son. They whispered how Bianca wouldn’t survive under our family, how she’d be crushed by our malice.

Bianca’s eyes burned with mischief and hunger; I saw how her lips parted when she witnessed violence, how she didn’t flinch when I bit pain into her skin. My tendencies were ruthless, my thoughts sharp, my actions merciless. But Bianca? She was the most repressed of them all, hiding the dark pieces that only I dragged into the moonlight. I’d been to the university, graduated early, been sent away a time or two to have my tendencies molded into a weapon according to my father. I could see darkness in the lightest places now. Bianca might be able to fool everyone else but she wasn’t fooling me.

She didn’t need sweet nothings when her body begged for rough truths.

“So you planned all this just to steal my virginity tonight then?”

“It’s not stealing when you’ll give it up to me willingly.”

“Yeah, well, you’re not special. I’ll give it to anyone but the man my parents expect me to marry.” She shrugged and taunted me further. “You do know that right?”

That wasn’t what I wanted to hear at all.

The feeling rolled through my veins and felt worse than I could have imagined. I growled at the words because I couldn’t stand the idea that she’d be so careless with herself. Maybe I hated the idea that she’d be with my brother soon too.

“You write about all that dumb shit in your diary, Bianca. I wouldn’t be a good stalker if I didn’t know it.”

“Stalking your brother’s betrothed isn’t a good look, Bane.”

She was pushing like she wanted this to end, and I’d give her a way out just to see. “Doling out your innocence to the first guy who chases you through a corn maze isn’t a good look either.” I took a breath before I pinned her with a knowing gaze, “But if you want someone else, go ahead back to the party.” I stepped back, giving her a straight path toward the wall of hay I’d put in place. She could push through and leave if she wanted.
