He began to pull away and she watched his mouth as he went. That beautiful, sensuous, commanding mouth.

“No,” it said. “This is not what we agreed to.”

She raised her eyes to his angry, hungry glare and he took another step back. His gaze raked over her, lingering, then he turned to go. He stopped at the bed, grabbed a pillow and turned away.

“Where are you going?” she whispered.

“Somewhere else. Anywhere else.”

He stalked out. The door slammed behind him.

She lifted her fingers to her lips, then tilted her head back and grinned at the ceiling.

Reliving every moment of that embrace, she let down her hair before climbing into the bed. Curled amongst the blankets and pillows that carried his scent, she smiled and fell into a deep and dreamless sleep.
