I nod.
“Use your words, Ren, tell me you want this.”
“I want this,” I say into his mouth, which is now back on mine.
Still under my hoodie, his hands push up my back until they reach my hair. He keeps them moving down my back, around to my ribs.”
“Tell me if I hurt you and I’ll stop,” he says against my ear. I nod.
“Words, Ren.”
“I’ll tell you,” I tell him quietly.
He slides his hands back to my arse and rests them there.
“I want to touch you everywhere, but I don’t want to hurt you,” he says against my ear.
“This is good,” I respond.
“Yeah? Like this?”
Sliding his hand to my outer thigh, he lifts my leg, wrapping it around his, and grinds into me. I groan out a sound that makes it blatantly obvious, without words, just how very good that does feel.
Turning me around, he walks me backwards until we reach the outside table. Moving the chairs away with his feet, and helps me shuffle up to sit on it. Nudging my legs apart with his knee, he moves to stand between my parted thighs. Sliding me to the edge of the table, he buries his face in my neck and grinds against me. I hook my legs around his thighs and hold him there. The moment I do the gate alarm sounds.
Tilting his head up to the sky, Gabe stops moving. I press my forehead against his chest and close my eyes while trying to catch my breath.
“Fuck, your mate has the worst timing.”
I look up, but Gabe’s face is still aimed skyward. He gives my thighs a gentle squeeze and I take that as my cue to unhook them. Wrapping his arms across my shoulders and back, he keeps me in place held against him. I slide my arms around his waist, and with the side of my face pressed against his chest, we stand perfectly still and attempt to compose ourselves.
His hand eventually moves to my face, and with the knuckle of his finger under my chin, he tilts it towards him. Eyes once again doing their dance across my features, he leans in and gently kisses me on the mouth.
“I shouldn’t have lifted you up here like that. I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
The jolts of pain in my ribs and shoulder were absolutely worth the jolts of pleasure I felt in other parts of me, so I shake my head just as the intercom buzzes to let us know someone’s downstairs. I hadn’t even noticed the sound of Jo’s car pulling up or her door slam shut.
“I stupidly gave her the gate code earlier so she could let herself in.”
After another quick peck on my mouth, he steps away.
“I’m not done with you; we’re picking this straight back up as soon as Jo leaves.”
I watch his fine arse turn and head down the stairs to the front door, feeling both grateful and disappointed at Jo’s interruption.
Chapter 17
Gabe
With my laptoptucked under my arm and my keys swinging around my finger, I head out my office door and through our reception area.
“See ya, Dan,” I call out to my sister.
“See ya. Have a good . . .”
“You not coming to the pub?” Zac cuts off Daniella’s response.
“No, I’m going home.”
