“Not exactly. They’re registered for four more days, but their luggage looks as though they’re ready to take it and leave any minute. There aren’t even toothbrushes near the sink.”

“They checked in two days ago,” Yvette reminded him.

“Right,” Garcia agreed. “My point exactly.”

“Who does that?” Briana asked Roth. “I mean, besides us. We need to be ready to leave with no notice, so we don’t spread our things through the room, but when I’m just traveling for any other reason, my stuff is all over the bathroom counter.”

“Yes, I know,” he said with a little laugh. She’d been staying at his condo since they got together six months previously, and her things were all over it. “They’re suspicious for sure.”

“Ruiz and the couple are getting ready to part company,” Madison transmitted. “We’re going to stay on the couple.”

“Affirmative,” Yvette said. “Are Lambchop and Lah-lee at the bar yet?”

“Negative, Control,” Madison replied.

Still at the seafood restaurant, Lambchop pulled his phone out. “Excuse me a moment,” he said to the couple. He opened his text messaging function and tapped out a reply.

Still at the restaurant. Dessert service slow, company talkative, taking forever.

Yvette smiled when she read the text. “Thank you for the update, Lambchop,” she said. “Enjoy your dessert. Break off from them as soon as you depart the restaurant.”

Will do, just tell me where you want us.

“I will, Lambchop,” Yvette replied.

“Heads up, Ruiz is on the move,” Coop broadcast. “Heading towards the Preferred Club bar.”

“And the couple?” Yvette asked.

“They’re taking the path that runs by the jungle pool and loops around towards our building. Xena and I are following.”

Ruiz’s room door opened. “Here we go again,” Yvette complained, her eyes on the laptop in front of her.

“What is it?” Mac asked. He sat on the couch, his feet up on the coffee table.

“Ruiz’s two girls are back, just let themselves into his room.”

Mac jumped up and came to stand behind her, watching the scene as the two the two ladies of the night unpacked the handbag of the sex toys and set up the hidden camera just as they had the previous evening. “I still can’t figure out why the camera.”

“And why again?” Yvette asked. “I could be wrong, but I’d imagine tonight is going to go pretty similarly to last night.”

Mac chuckled. He leaned in and nuzzled her cheek with his. “Is that a sad commentary on our encounters between the sheets?”

“Not even close,” she said, her tone light and flirty.

“I wish our onsite Ops Center wasn’t in our room. I’d sure like to have some naked time with you. I’m getting quite jealous of Ruiz.”

“Really, you want that?” She nodded at the laptop screen.

“Not them, you. But I want you naked and in my arms.”

“I have him and his muscle entering the Preferred Club bar,” Mother chimed in. He was back up in Madison and Cooper’s room, manning the surveillance equipment.

“He’s getting a drink,” Crash reported.

Yvette switched her comms to transmit. “His two playmates from last night just showed up.”

Just then, the door lock clicked, and it swung open, Garcia stepping into the room. “Hey,” he greeted.
