Roxi bites her lip. “I don’t care right now. I need someone to replace the harm those three monsters did to me.”
Adrestia kisses my neck, her arousal hitting me hard. When we were together, we never shared partners, but the four of us being together just feels different… right. I think it has to do with what we’ve discovered, that we’re all tied together, and there’s nothing wrong with us wanting each other.
“This tub isn’t big enough for the four of us. Get cleaned up and come to my room. Avie and I will meet you guys in there,” Adrestia growls as she turns me toward her and throws me over her shoulder. “It’s been far too long since I’ve worshipped this body, and I’m not going to waste any time in getting started. Fuck, this is going to be beautiful.”
“Addie! Put me down unless you want to be bitten,” I hiss.
She laughs and starts down the hall to her bedroom. “That doesn’t scare me off, Avie. If anything, it turns me on more. You know I love it when you bite me.”
I let out a low growl, which just has Addie laughing again. “It’s too bad I can’t really bite you in this position, because I would.”
Addie scoffs as she rounds the corner into her room. “Well, if you really wanted out of this position, you’d get yourself out. Don’t act like I’m not aware of your skills.”
When I open my mouth to respond, Addie pulls me back over her shoulder and throws me down on her bed. All the air rushes out of my lungs upon impact, making me see stars, but that doesn’t stop Addie from ripping my clothes off.
“Be careful of my gear!” I wheeze.
“I’ll buy you more. I need to feel you, make sure this isn’t just a dream,” Addie says.
Rolling my eyes, I push her back, but she doesn’t budge. “This isn’t a dream. My gear comes off easily. Let me sit up and help you.”
She takes a step back, eyes narrowed at me. “I’m impatient, Avyanna.”
“You’re not going to be impatient when I knock your ass out. Chill,” I growl.
“Fuck, you’re so fucking feisty, more so than you used to be,” she says.
I flash her a devious smile as I stand. My fingers make quick work of all the clasps and buttons—I’ve been wearing this same gear for years, so I’ve learned the ins and outs of it. With each piece of gear that hits the floor, Adrestia’s eyes darken further and further.
When the last piece slides off my body, Adrestia is on me, her lips crashing against mine, and her fingers skimming across my skin. My hands slide up her shoulders into her hair, grabbing a handful of the golden strands. She growls, trying to resist my hold, but I yank harder.
“You’re still dressed, and I don’t think that’s very fair,” I say.
“I don’t care what you think is fair right now. I want to worship your body like I’ve always been meant to. Now, lie down on this fucking bed and let me taste you before I break out the ropes to make you,” she growls, nipping at my lip.
My pussy throbs, begging for the attention, so I let her guide me back onto the bed and release her hair. Once I’m lying back on the bed, her mouth returns to mine, giving me gentle kisses.
Breaking our kiss, she whispers, “Good girl,” and then kisses down my jaw to my collarbone, where part of my serpent tattoo is. “This is new. When did you get it?”
“A few decades ago, after I lost sight of Roxi. It starts at the nape of my neck, where the tail weaves into my hairline, because my obsession with her started with a single look.” As I explain, she kisses along the tattoo, across my chest to where my heart is. “The scales are the same as those of her snakes, just as the eyes are the same color as hers.”
“Why are its fangs bared right above your heart?” Adrestia asks, her lips brushing against my skin with each word.
“Because she sank her teeth into me and took a piece of my heart when she disappeared on me.”
Adrestia’s eyes meet mine. “Damn, now I’m hurt because you didn’t do anything like that for me.”
I roll my eyes and bring both of my wrists up so she can see the tattoos there. “I got these a few years after I escaped and left you behind. This one,” I say, gesturing to my left wrist with a small, black cartoonish heart impaled by a dagger, “was the first one I got. It was to remind me what love had done to me the first time I tried to pursue it.” Then, I point to my right wrist, which says ‘Temptation is a monster’ in a gothic script. “I got this one a short time after because I almost went off the deep end. I missed you so fucking much, and I thought about trying to find you, but I kept telling myself this, to remind me in a way that following temptation can lead to your demise if you’re not careful.”
“That’s not as cute as the one for Roxi,” she says, brows furrowed.
I drop my wrists to the bed and shrug. “They both have similar meanings. You both weaseled your way into my heart, and each of you left me in different ways. But now we’re all together with another to complete us.”
She kisses my sternum to hide her smile. “Since when did you become an optimist?”
“Since I’ve discovered the people who make me feel whole.”
