“I love you so much, Baby Boy.” He paused and blew out a long breath. “Now, we have a whole week to catch up, and your friends have thrown you an amazing party. Let’s celebrate your love and your babies, and we can have all the tears we need later. Ok?”

I laughed. “Ok.”

He pulled me into another hug. “Oh, it’s so good to see you though. I missed you.”

“I missed you too.”

He released me. “Ok. I’ve met your Freddie, but not the rest of your mates. At least not face-to-face. Introduce me to the men who’ve made you so happy.”

I grinned as I tugged Papa towards where Freddie, Ian, Tony, and Beck had assembled, ready to let him meet my mates.

Having my Papa there was the best shower present I could have asked for.

I grumbled, braced one hand on my lower back, and attempted to stretch.

“Everything ok?” Ian asked. “You’ve been pacing for a bit and look uncomfortable.”

“My back’s sore. I think one of the kids is against it.”

“Do you want me to rub your back?”

“Would you, please?”

“Of course.” He pulled the ottoman close to the couch and helped me sit.

“Ok, Sweetheart. Get as comfy as you can.”

I leaned forward as much as my belly would allow, giving him access to my lower back.

Ian shifted behind me, then rubbed a gentle circle along the small of my back. “Here?”

“Mm-hmm…”

“Harder?”

“Yes.”

I moaned as he increased the pressure and hit just the right spot.

“There?” he asked with a laugh.

“Mm-hmm.”

“Ok. Let me know if I need to change spots or anything.”

I made a noise of agreement as he continued rubbing my sore back.

“Just think,” Ian murmured. “Soon those babies will be in your arms. The doctor said they’re in position and could come any day now.”

I smiled.

“You’re about to be a papa,” he continued.

“Papa…” I echoed.
