“Ok,” Shane replied, kissing my forehead. “We’ll be out here.”
I nodded, then scooped up all the bags and carried them to the bedroom.
Two of the tests were the same brand Ash had bought, then a couple other brands. I skimmed the instructions, then carried three tests to the bathroom.
“Might as well save the others, just in case,” I muttered.
A few minutes later I was sitting on the bed, waiting for the timers to go off.
Would my alphas still want me if I wasn’t pregnant?
Things had moved so fast, but I loved all of them and couldn’t imagine life without my mates.
I jumped at a knock on the door. “Y-yes?”
Vince stuck his head in. “Hey… I know we said we’d wait out there, but… are you ok?”
I blinked. “Yeah… why?”
“I… uh…”
He looked so cute when he was embarrassed.
“I… well… I was pacing outside the door, and I could smell that you were worried about something. I don’t know how long these things take, and…”
I sniffled. He was just so open and honest.
“I was just worried about what would happen if I wasn’t pregnant, somehow…”
He blinked. “What do you mean? Nothing would happen.”
“That’s not what he’s saying,” Roland said from outside the door. “May I come in?”
I sniffled. “Yeah. You can all come in.”
My mates shuffled in, all close enough to almost trip over each other.
Roland walked over to the bed and knelt in front of me, taking my hands in his. “You’re our omega, ok? We fell in love with you, not your ability to have children. You make our lives richer.”
“Thank you,” I whispered.
“He’s right,” Derrick declared. “Kids are just a bonus. You’re stuck with us, no matter what.”
“I already have a hard time falling asleep when you’re not using me as a pillow,” Vince stated.
I let out a wet chuckle.
“We’re here, positive or not. Ok?” Shane asked, sitting beside me and running a hand up and down my back.
I nodded. “Ok.”
Derrick moved to sit on my other side, and Vince stood awkwardly by the door before walking over and sitting on the floor, head resting on my leg.
I took a deep breath, their combined scents soothing me. My mates were there, and they always would be.
My nerves had settled significantly by the time the first timer went off.
I took a deep breath, grabbed the test, then handed it to Vince. “You tell me.”
