“Have you picked who will be with you in the operating theater?” the nurse asked as we got into the elevator.

It was the one thing that had taken me the longest to decide. I could only have one of my mates with me. “I have.”

“Who’s the lucky dad?”

I reached out and took Miguel’s hand. “Miguel.”

“Me?” Miguel asked, shocked expression on his face as our eyes met. “Why?”

I smiled and nodded. “I love all of you, but I wanted somebody who could keep me calm. Nate and Garret are both full of energy, and I worry that it’ll be too much. And Tyler’s more nervous than I am. But I know you’ll keep me grounded through it all.”

“Thank you,” he replied with a hitch in voice.

“Congrats man,” Nate said, clapping Miguel on the back. “Give those babies all the kisses for us if you get to hold them.”

“I will,” Miguel promised.

The elevator stopped and the doors opened. “Ok,” the nurse said as we started moving again. “The operating theater has a small waiting room just outside it. You can all stay there during the procedure. After that you’ll be able to visit in pairs while Ash is in recovery. The babies will be taken to the NICU at first, just to get checked out. But since we’re not expecting any complications you’ll likely be able to see them in a few hours. We just want to make sure they’re developed enough.”

Nods all around, then we stopped outside the operating room. Jace gave me a hug, while Tyler, Nate and Garret each kissed me.

“See you soon,” I promised. “I love you all.”

“We love you too,” Tyler replied. “Now go have those babies.”

I smiled and nodded. “Ok.”

I reached out, and Miguel wrapped his hand around mine as the nurse led us to where they would prep us for surgery.

I was about to have my babies.

Tyler cradled our tiny daughter, Elise, to his chest. “This one is obviously Miguel’s,” he stated.

“Hmm?” I asked.

He kissed the top of her head. “Look at her, she’s a mini version of him, just a girl. Sun-kissed skin and dark brown hair.”

“I agree,” Nate said, rocking one of our sons, Aaron. “One hundred percent that Miguel is Elise’s dad.”

“Ok then,” I retorted. “What about the others if you are all so interested to figure out who fathered which baby?”

Garret snorted. “Does it matter? We can only tell with Elise ‘cause she looks so much like him. They’re all our kids.”

“Shhh,” Miguel said from where he sat with our other son, Emory. “I just got him to sleep.”

I snorted. “He’s been dealing with the sound of all my organs, plus his brother and sister kicking him for months. I think he can sleep through some talking.”

Garret walked over, took a seat beside me on the bed, leaned over, and kissed my forehead. “You make beautiful babies, omega-ours.”

I smiled. “You all helped.”

“And we’ll gladly help again when you’re ready for more,” Nate said.

“I think that’ll be a couple years,” I replied.

“That’s ok,” Tyler said. “Even if you decide these are all you want. Our family is already perfect, and any more are just added bonuses.”
