Chapter 4
~April~
Icouldn’t decide if warmer weather was a blessing or a curse when it came to Thursday nights. It meant that the Wildcats generally came in wearing either light jackets or no coats at all.
God, if I’d thought my imagination ran wild when all those alphas strode in all bundled up, it was nothing when compared to seeing long-sleeved t-shirts stretched over muscles.
“Hey look, it’s the circulation cutie,” sing-songed one of them named, Nate—whom I’d learned at one point played something called the attack position. “How ya doin’ today Cutie?”
My face heated as he sashayed over. “I have a name you know,” I replied. “It’s Ash.”
“Aw, but you blush when I call you cutie. Why would I stop?” He leaned on the counter, lights glinting off his blond hair, his cologne washing over me and making my dick twitch. “Am I early?”
“A bit,” I replied. “But I think the room’s ready.”
“I actually wanted to talk to you for a minute,” he said with a wink.
I chuckled. “Tyler ask you to reserve the room for another week?”
“Oh, I could do that too,” he purred. “But I actually had a question for you.”
“What is it?”
He grinned, devilish glint in his blue eyes. “Have you ever been to a lacrosse game?”
I blinked. “Um… no.”
“Well, that’s a shame.”
I motioned to my surroundings. “I’m not really a sports kind of man.”
“What about your mate?”
I snickered. “I’m not exactly the type of man that most alphas go for.”
He shook his head. “Their loss.” He then pushed a couple colorful slips of paper towards me. “Here. Two tickets to this weekend’s game. We’re the ones in purple. Bring a friend.”
I blinked and accepted the tickets. “Are you sure? I don’t know anything about lacrosse.”
“Of course. You’ve been good to us this season.”
“By letting you reserve the room?”
“And for that friendly smile every week.”
I snorted. “The smile kinda comes with the job. It is a customer service position.”
“Aw, no need to burst my bubble.”
“Sorry,” I laughed.
“So you’ll be there?”
Another blush crawled across my face. “Ok.”
He grinned and straightened. “I’ll be looking for you… Ash.”
“Ok,” I whimpered. Him calling me cutie made me blush, but my name on his lips had desire curling through me.
