“Nate,” Corey moaned, rocking back against me.

His eyes were closed, lips parted, face slack with pleasure. His hands were fisted in the linens, and the low lights reflected off a sheen of sweat.

It was perfect, and not enough. I leaned over him, changing the angle of my thrusts and giving me the opportunity to kiss his back and shoulders.

His breathing quickened, and he thrust against me.

“Please alpha,” he begged. “Need it.”

I sped up, plunging into him over and over, and was rewarded in the best way. Each moan and whimper, every time he begged brought me closer to release.

“Alpha!” Corey cried, and a new wave of pleasure crashed over me as he came, his body tightening around my cock as his orgasm pulsed through him.

I fucked him hard and fast through his release, then his head dropped down, exposing his bonding point.

Trust, love, and understanding were all present in such a simple motion, and it was all I needed.

Corey was my best friend, my mate, my omega. I’d connected with him like I had with nobody else.

I roared as I came, my balls emptying into him. Then my knot popped, coaxing another small orgasm from my mate.

I leaned in and breathed his scent, nuzzled the spot that would bear my mark, and sank my teeth into the smooth skin.

White hot ecstasy enveloped me again, and I had no idea how much time had passed when I finally started to come down again.

I turned us onto our sides and held Corey close, kissing the skin I could reach.

This connection was different, but no less intense than what I felt outside of the bedroom. We had brought each other pleasure physically, and being with him fulfilled me emotionally.

“Was it ok for you?” Corey asked after several minutes.

“It was amazing,” I murmured, kissing his ear. “You?”

He hummed happily. “Perfect.”

I ran my hand up and down his side several times before finally settling it on his stomach.

We would have to have serious discussions over the coming days. Mating bites almost always resulted in pregnancy, which meant that we’d have to decide where to live. We’d have to find a house. We’d…

My mind stopped, and I remembered Corey smiling at me while I was playing with the dog in the shelter—Bandit. The dog who, like my mate, had approached me and sought me out. The dog who also needed a home.

“Corey?” I asked.

“Hmm?” he replied sleepily.

“This… might be an odd time to ask this, but I have a question for you.”

He turned and our eyes met. “What is it?”

“Can we…” I licked my lips. “Can we adopt that dog from the shelter? Bandit?”

Corey smiled and chuckled. “I already put a hold on him for you.”

“You what?”

He turned back, yawned, and wiggled closer against me. “You had a connection. I know it when I see it with dogs. I figured it was only a matter of time. So I put a hold on him for you. We can fill out the paperwork when we’re back home.”

“Thank you,” I whispered, kissing his shoulder.
