“Enjoy your week off.”

I smiled. “That reminds me, you’re still planning two weeks in January?”

“Yep!” he quipped. “Two weeks skiing in Mountain Springs.”

“I thought you were going to see the shovel races.”

“That too, but that’s only one day.”

I shook my head. “It seems a bit dangerous.”

“Oh it’s hella dangerous, but great fun to watch.”

“I’ll take your word for it.”

He grinned. “You should come with me, at least for a few days. You’ve been running yourself ragged for months, helping Cody with the wedding. January is a dead month anyway, so I’m sure you can afford a weekend or something.”

I hummed. It wasn’t necessarily a bad idea.

“Maybe,” I eventually hedged.

Justin laughed. “Let me know if I should switch my room to a double. They can fill up quickly for the shovel races, but I’ve been able to change up my reservations easily enough in the past.”

“Ok. I’ll let you know if I decide to go.”

“Great!” He stood, then studied me. “You should take the rest of the day. No offense, but you look tired.”

I sighed and motioned to the scattered receipts and invoices on my desk. “Do you really want to deal with all this?”

He blanched and shook his head.

I laughed. “I’ve gotta finish it and get it all to our accountant today anyway. But maybe I’ll take a nap when I get home.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

“See ya week after next?”

“Yep!”

“Have a nice weekend.”

“You too, and have a good heat.”

It would be a great heat if Jordan was here to help me through it,the traitorous voice inside my head replied.

“Oh yeah,” I joked. “Silicone sure knows how to treat a man.”

Justin roared with laughter. “I hear ya. Can’t be too careful, though sometimes I just can’t help myself and make an alpha suit up for the occasion.”

“Yeah, but I’m not with anybody right now, and I don’t trust my heats to randos.”

“Fair enough.”

“Head home,” I said. “Enjoy your weekend.”

“You too. See ya!”

“Later.”
