Chapter 6 - Lowell

Sean’s lips were sweet, with just a hint of peppermint lip balm.

I wanted—needed—more. I pulled him against me, and as he moaned into the kiss I pushed my tongue into his mouth.

His arms slid around my neck, holding me close as we kissed. For a moment I was convinced that I was dreaming. I’d had so many sweet dreams of holding this incredible man in my arms, but had never thought it would become reality.

But when the chill remained in the air, and the background people didn’t fade away I knew that this was real.

I was kissing Sean Billings, and now that I’d had a taste, I would never be the same again.

His lips were a kiss-stained pink when we parted, his eyes wide.

Then I heard the cheering. I looked around to see several eyes on us, including those of his boss Elaine, who just smirked at me.

I turned back to Sean, who was still using me for support as he wasn’t balanced on his skates. “Do you want to get out of here?”

He nodded, and I helped him to his feet. We skated to the exit and I supported him as we walked across the mats back to where we’d left our shoes.

I already missed the feel of his lips on mine, but there were too many people around. I needed to take him somewhere private and kiss him properly.

I wanted him breathless, kissed so well that no other alpha would stand a chance.

 “Lowell,” he said softly.

I turned to face him, and moaned as he kissed me again.

How had I ever believed that he preferred female alphas? He didn’t seem repulsed by me. Instead it was like he couldn’t get enough.

He kissed me like a man starved for touch.

“Wanna go up to my office?” he asked as we parted again.

“Yeah,” I agreed. It was close and private. I’d be kissing him again that much sooner, and we wouldn’t have the applauding onlookers.

We hastily pulled on our normal shoes and carried the skates back to the rental booth. Then he led me in the direction of the city administration offices that overlooked the plaza.

I’d thought we’d successfully escaped the crowd when we were stopped by Elaine.

She smiled at us, approached Sean, and whispered in his ear.

“Have fun you two,” she chirped as she meandered off.

I turned to Sean, to see a bright blush on his face.

“What was that about?” I asked.

His blush deepened. “She just gave me the after-hours access code.”

I didn’t know how I felt about Elaine knowing we were headed up to get away, but it was her we were talking about, and she seemed to be supporting us. “Didn’t you know it already?”

He shook his head. “I didn’t even know we had an after-hours code. I’m never in the office alone that late.”

 “I guess you do now.”

He smiled and rose on his toes to peck my lips. “I guess I do. Come on.”

We hurried across the plaza and somehow weren’t stopped by anyone else. Then we were at the admin building.
