I shrugged. “Hell if I know.”

“Well we definitely can’t be using that part of the app for now. Go back to adding things directly to the scheduler.”

“With pleasure.” I stood to return to my desk to set up all the necessary appointments.

“And Cody?”

“Yeah?”

“Don’t forget to file a bug report.”

“Of course.”

~1 Week Later~

I checked my teeth in the mirror, then ran a hand through my hair in a futile attempt to tame the curls.

I wasn’t looking forward to the video call, but at least I could look professional for it, which included making sure that there wasn’t spinach stuck to my teeth.

Satisfied that there was nothing distracting about my appearance I returned to my desk and took a deep breath.

“Calm, professional,” I said to myself. “Don’t go off about all the problems.”

Maybe I’d call Corey after work and see if I could get in some puppy time. It would be a good way to decompress after the video meeting.

I checked the time, pasted on a smile, joined the meeting room, and was immediately rendered speechless as I got a good look at the alpha on the other end of the call.

He was gorgeous. Jet black hair, blue eyes, chiseled jaw and just enough stubble to make me imagine the scratchiness of it against me if I were to kiss him.

I squirmed as a touch of slick gathered at my entrance.

“Cody?”

God, even his voice sent shivers up my spine. For a second I imagined him whispering my name as he slid his cock into me, telling me how he was going to fuck me full of his babies, growing round with his promise…

Focus!I scolded myself. Now is not the time to go gaga over a man.

“That’s me,” I replied, hoping my voice wasn’t shaky. “Wes?”

He smiled and the omega part of me threatened to turn to mush again. “Yes. It’s nice to meet you.”

“Likewise.”

He glanced to the side then back at the camera. “So I’ve gone over all the bug reports that you’d submitted as of last week, as well as the followup conversations. I’d like to start with those and see if…”

I held up my hand. “Wait, did you say last week?”

He blinked. “Yes?”

I shook my head. “All those need to take a back seat. This calendar problem is major.”

He frowned and seemed to pick up a tablet, swiping at it. “What calendar problem?”

I sighed. “I submitted the report the same day that we scheduled this meeting, and it’s a pretty critical issue. We’ve had to stop using the calendar integration from the app entirely because of it.”

His frown deepened when he seemed to pause his scrolling. “Your report says that it’s not saving all your entries.”
