Chapter 4 - Wes

Ilooked up at the knock on my office door.

“Hey boss, got a minute?”

I motioned towards a guest chair and the team lead for the ReservdIt package, Mack, took a seat.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“You know that property management company that Jordan signed up as a beta tester a few weeks ago?”

“Yeah?”

“Well… they’ve been submitting bug reports. A lot of bug reports. More than anybody else in fact.”

“That’s a good thing though, isn’t it?”

“Problem is that we’re having a lot of trouble replicating them.”

I rubbed my chin. “Are you worried that there are false reports?”

He shook his head. “Not yet, but…”

I nodded. “Forward them to me please, along with what you’ve done so far. Then keep working through them as usual. Let me know if anything too serious comes up, or if there are too many you can’t replicate.”

“Thanks boss.”

I nodded and he left the office.

I tried to focus again, but something nagged at me. Finally I picked up my phone and dialed Jordan’s extension.

“Sup?” he asked.

“Do you have the contact info for that vacation rental place in Harris Cove?”

“Sure. But why? Planning a trip?”

I sighed. “I wish… Mack just came in and told me that they’ve been filing a lot of bug reports. You didn’t give them a quota, did you?”

“Of course not. Quotas for things like that just cause problems.”

“Yeah, that’s what I thought.”

“Is that why you need the contact info, to clarify with them?”

“No, I thought I would see what’s up then reach out directly.”

“Shouldn’t Mack be the one to do that? He is in charge of the app production after all.”

I rubbed the back of my neck. “I just… I can’t explain it, but I feel the need to do it myself.”

“Eh, you do you. I’ll email you the deets.”

“Thanks.”

A few minutes later all the information arrived. I took a deep breath. “Ok Wes, time to act like a respectable businessman.”
