My tears flowed freely as I wrapped my arms around his neck. “You know it’s going to be a risky pregnancy, right? I could still lose the baby.”

He tilted my chin up and kissed me softly. “But you won’t. I don’t think life would give us a miracle to just rip it away again.”

I smiled and buried my face against his chest. “I love you.”

He wrapped his arms around me again and kissed my hair. “I love you too David. I love you more than I ever thought possible to love another person, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

“Alan?” I whispered, not trusting what I was hearing.

“I love you David,” he replied. “I love you, and I can’t imagine a day without you. Marry me, and take my mark once our baby is born. I want everybody to know that you’re mine.”

 “Yes,” I sobbed. “Yes!”

He chuckled. “I don’t have a ring, I’m sorry. But we’ll get you the perfect ring tomorrow.”

 “Silicone is best.”

 “Silicone?”

“So I don’t have to worry about it when cooking.”

“A silicone ring it’ll be then,” he said as he leaned in to kiss me.

We quietly explored each other’s mouths until Victor cleared his throat nearby.

“I have a press release ready for your review, Alan,” he said.

My handsome alpha laughed. “I’ll review it in a few minutes. In the meanwhile I have a couple tasks I need you to add to your list.”

“And they are?” Victor asked, soft amusement in his voice.

“We’ll need to meet with and decide on a wedding planner. We’ll also need to have the decorator come back in and turn one of the bedrooms into a nursery.”

Victor started laughing. “That explains the stomach bug. Congratulations to both of you.”

“Thank you,” I said softly, then I smiled and tucked my head against Alan’s shoulder. It was right where I wanted to be.
