“Holy fuck…” he breathes, pulling back just enough to stare at me properly. “You’re serious?”
I nod, my eyes stinging, though I’m smiling like a fool. “Yeah. I found out yesterday. I wanted to set up the perfect atmosphere to tell you but—” I gesture vaguely between us. “This kinda happened.”
He lets out a rough, incredulous laugh, then suddenly scoops me into his arms, crushing me against his chest. “Christ, princess…I’m gonna be a father?”
“Mm-hmm,” I whisper into his neck, my voice thick with emotion. “And I couldn’t imagine a better Daddy.”
That does him in. He kisses me like he’s trying to brand the moment into our bones, fierce and reverent all at once. His hand slides over my stomach, protective already, his thumb stroking gently.
“You’ve just given me the one thing I never thought I’d deserve,” he murmurs against my lips. “A family. Our family.”
My throat tightens. “So…you’re happy?”
“Happy?” He huffs out another laugh, burying his face in my hair. “Princess, I’ve never been happier in my damn life. You’re a blessing I don’t deserve, baby girl.”
I laugh, even as my tears spill, and he kisses them away one by one.
“I love you, Charlie,” Jack murmurs against my lips.
“I love you too, Daddy,” I say softly, pressing my body closer to him with a soft moan. His tongue slides between my lips and I open up for him, my body humming with delicious tingles as I feel him start to harden inside of me again.
