The two malesin front speed up and in a few moments, they disappear from our sight. I'm left with the two aliens who grabbed my arms and forced me to go. Now none of them says anything. I keep my mouth shut as well because I don't want to make them angry. I've had my share of anger back on Valkyria and back on the spaceship. I've just had enough. I'll just do what they want and go with them.

"So, where are you from?" The male on my left side asks and turns his head, facing me.

"Earth... you know... I'm from Earth. Well, I was from Earth. Somehow I ended up on this stupid cold planet, Valkrya." The moment he hears the word Valkrya, his eyes bulge. Features change, the eyebrows come together. I can almost feel his hand gripping tighter around my arm

"What did you say? So Had'jun was right. You were sent here by our enemies."

"What? No, no. I was a prisoner on that fucking planet. They treated me like shit and locked me up in a cell to breed me. I was lucky enough to find a kind alien. He pretended to fuck me but he didn't," I tell him and truly hope he understands. I don't know what is up with this kind but the moment I spoke of Valkrya I swear it was almost like Valkrya is the worst thing in the world for these guys.

"Never speak to me of that planet again. You will remain silent until we reach the village. I don't want to hear anything. You'll have plenty of time to speak when we get there." The male on my right side almost shouts, his voice an angry growl. He picks up pace and starts walking fast. They don't care that I'm barely dragging my feet on the ground. They don’t give a fuck about me. Once they heard me speak of Valkrya, they became just like the ones who treated me so badly, if not worse.

EMMA

My legs hurt so bad and all I want to do is collapse on the ground. I don't think I have ever been so tired in my life and I wonder how much more I can take. "Are we there yet?" I look to the alien on my right side and ask. He doesn't say a word. "Do you hear me?"

"Are you deaf?" I shout.

"We are almost there," he says in his sharp deep voice. He doesn't even look at me and he continues to drag me. What is wrong with these guys? Can't they see I'm too tired to walk? I just want to rest my legs and catch my breath for a second. I can't walk any longer. "Are you stupid?"

"Don't call me stupid," he barks at me. He looks at me, his eyes fixed. There is no sign of remorse, no sign of empathy for my pain. I really thought these guys were different. The reality is they're no better than the stupid Valkryans.

"There is the village female," the other one says.

"My name's Emma,"I say to him in a commanding voice. Why does everyone like calling me, female? I'm more than a walking womb. I'm Emma.

"Emma or female is the same to me. I do not care," he responds. Why do I bother? I don't even care if he calls me Emma or female. All I care about is being safe and getting some rest. The bastard is right. I can make out the shape of the settlement in the distance. Finally! I should be worried but somehow I am not. I don't know what to expect. All I know is that I need to sit down, I need to have some rest. I'm so tired and all my muscles ache, my temples pulsate and I have this terrible headache. I should be worried but I just don't care anymore. What could be worse? It's not like I haven't been bullied and treated badly before on Valkrya.

"What will you do to me?"I ask them. A few more minutes pass and we finally reach the village. It's not as big as I thought it would be. What strikes me is the obvious difference between the technology on Valkrya and the simplicity of this village. I can even call it savage. The village is packed with wooden huts all gathered together, forming a symmetrical circle. Males and females roam about, minding their own business. Not as many females as I thought, only about two or three catch my attention.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask and turn my head from side to side, looking at all the passersby. A huge hut stands in the middle, towering over all the others. It's enormous for a hut, the walls made of wood, the roof covered in dry leaves. Jesus, these aliens are gorgeous. Every one of them displaying their muscular bodies and glowing skin. Who would have thought I'd be attracted to blue aliens?

"Wait here,"the alien on my right says and leaves me with the other. He enters the big hut and we wait outside. "Can you just let go of my arm?" I say to the other alien and pull my arm from his grip. I cross both of my arms over my chest and massage my skin. The grip was very tight and my arms are bruised all over. My legs start shaking, the pain running up and down. I sit on the ground, my knees raised. I rest my back against the wall and hug my knees with my arms. I lay my head on my legs, my hair flowing over my face.

What did I do to deserve this? I was really happy back on earth. I had a good job, good friends, and wonderful life. I didn't know how to appreciate what I had but I do now. This is how life goes. We never know how to be grateful for the things that we have until we lose them. I wasn't able to find that pure and sincere love that everyone is after but at least I was happy with what I had. What do I have now? I was a prisoner on Valkrya and I'm a prisoner now. But I don't care anymore. My soul is frozen, my heart turning to stone with each day that I spend on this HELL. I can't feel anymore. I managed to block my emotions. I have become a soulless being, a replica of my own self. One that doesn't hurt, one that only breathes and exists.

"Areyou going to put me in a cell?" I ask the brute.

"Don't speak," the alien says back. He towers over me with his massive build, his hands resting on his hips. Besides the two or three Valkryan females I saw before, I don't see any other. There are only males that roam about in front of us, minding their stuff. Nobody seems to notice my presence. "Did you hear me?" I ask again.

"I heard you. I just don't want to answer you," the alien growls at me. "It won't be any longer now."

“It won’t be any longer for what?” I ask. He does not answer. I hate it when people just ignore me and act as if I’m not even there.

“I’m talking to you,” I say. The alien turns to me, his eyes filled with anger. He leans over, his breath brushing against my skin. He stares at me with his icy blue eyes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much anger in someone’s eyes. If gazes could kill, I’d be dead by now.

“Fine. I’ll keep quiet,” I sigh. My back still against the wall, I lay my head on my knees. Tears flow down my cheeks, forming a waterfall over my chin. I try to kill my sobs before they annoy the brute.

“Send her in,” another alien growls from the hut’s entrance. His size seems smaller, yet the same brutal tone. My heart thumps in my throat, my lungs gasping for air.

“Stand up female.” The brute grabs my arm, forcing me to stand.

The brute guides me to the entrance, where the other one awaits. For a second I gaze into his eyes, then turn my head to the other side.

“Come,” he says as his fingers wrap around my arm. His squeeze is light, nothing like the powerful grab of the brute.

“Where are you taking me? Tell me, please,” I say. He says nothing and stops in front of another entrance. This must be it. It can’t be a long way. I mean it’s a hut, not a fucking castle. There’s such an evident discrepancy between the majestic buildings on Valkrya and the primitive architecture of this planet. They may look the same but technologically speaking they’re years apart.
