I leap into Diane’s arms. “Thank you so much!”

I’ve missed my students. Now I can teach at American Educationandhave Tyler.

I finally found door #3.

* * *

“Hey! There’s the happy couple.”My siblings cheer as Tyler and I finally make our way to their table and take a seat.

“Did you guys hear? I got my job back.”

Brooke nods. “Krew came and told us a few minutes ago. He’s really excited to have his new mom as his teacher.”

“Yeah, he’s trying to decide if he should call you ‘Mom’ or ‘Mrs. Dixon’ at school,” Tessa says.

“Either one works for me.”

I pick up the drink in front of me and take a sip. “Is this party almost over?”

“We can leave whenever you want,” Tyler nudges me. “In fact, let’s leave right now. I’m ready to get our honeymoon started.”

Matt laughs. “Easy, buddy. You guys haven’t even cut the cake yet.”

“Maybe I should tell Krew to knock it over so we don’t have to do it and we can leave now.”

“We can’t leave until I see what happens between Ben and Jen.” I crane my neck, looking behind me to the dance floor.

Brooke looks up. “My Ben?”

Tessa smiles. “I didn’t know he wasyourBen.”

Brooke rolls her eyes. “You know what I mean.”

“Yeah, I introduced him to one of my friends that teaches second grade at American Education Academy. She just broke up with her boyfriend.”

Brooke’s brows dip. “Why would you do that?”

“Why not? Ben’s cute, and Jen is great. I thought they would make a good match.”

Brooke sits back into her chair, looking a little miffed. “Ben’s not really looking to date anyone right now, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up.”

“Sorry, Brooke,” I say. “For years you’ve said that you and Ben are just friends.”

She smiles, something fake. “We are.”

Tessa laughs. “Then why are you so upset?”

Brooke looks around the table. “I’m not.”

“Leave her alone,” Matt chimes in. “If Brooke is stupid enough to fall for her best friend and not tell him, then she deserves to feel a little jealous right now.”

Brooke glares across the table at Matt. “And what about you? Where’s Remi? You guys have been together so long. I find it hard to believe that she wouldn’t come to your sister’s wedding.”

Matt shifts in his chair. “I told you already. She had to work. That’s why she couldn’t come to the wedding.”

“Well, I don’t know why all of your love lives are so complicated,” Tessa says, flipping her hair back behind her shoulder.

“Wait a second,” I say. “It’s my wedding day, so I would hardly classify my love life as complicated.”
