I cup her chin. “Baby, what kind of man would I have been if I claimed you last night?” I release her and take a step back and point at myself. “You were hurting, and I wasn’t there for you. I wasn’t going to take advantage of you…”
This time, she holds her hand out, and I don’t even hesitate. I put my hand in hers and thread our fingers together. She comes close, pressing her front into me. I suck in a breath, feeling hercurvy body against mine. “So regardless of anything else, you saved me. If you weren’t there… well, we know what would have happened to me. You saved me, Grey. And there’s something else you should know.”
I croak out the question. “What is that?”
She loops a hand around my neck and pulls me down until our breath is mingled. “You wouldn’t be taking advantage of me because I want you… I’ve wanted you since I first saw you.”
“Fuck.” I groan. I lean down the rest of the way and smash our lips together. The kiss is everything, but I want more. She does too because she’s practically climbing my body, trying to get closer. I draw her up, and her legs go around my waist. I know she can feel how much I want her. My bulge is lined up at her core, and she shifts against me.
The only thing stopping me from bending her over my bike is someone clearing their throat. I pull back, panting. “Fuck,” I groan.
She playfully smacks my chest. “We can do that later.”
My eyes widen, and I’m about to throw her over my shoulder and carry her upstairs right now.
Pres clears his throat again. “Hey, we’re about ten seconds away from half the club coming out here looking for you two.”
And he isn’t lying because the big doors open, and half the club spills out. There’s a chorus of happy birthdays, and Alice hugs each of them. What I like best is that she never lets go of me. We stand here side by side, hand in hand as she acknowledges each member of the club.
Of course, Legend would be the one to give me shit. “Quit hovering, brother. We’re family.”
I hold Alice’s hand a little tighter. “She can hug whoever she wants, but she’s going home with me tonight.”
Alice looks up at me, and I can see the excitement in her eyes. Yeah, she wants this as much as I do.
CHAPTER 11
ALICE
I’m dancing with Grey’s arms around me.
We’re surrounded by the club. Some are swaying to the music. The single guys are over in the corner with the cherries, and they’re having a good time too. I sigh contentedly.
Grey kisses my forehead, and I smile. He’s been by my side the whole night. I know that he wants us to disappear upstairs, but he’s been patient, wanting me to enjoy my party.
“Did you have a good birthday?”
I nod, resting my cheek against his chest. “The best… well, I can think of two things to make it better.”
“Name it,” he demands.
I play with the hair at the nape of his neck. “Well, I would like for you to finally give me a tattoo.”
“Done. We’ll do it tomorrow.”
I lean back to look at his face. “What? That was too easy. Do you know how many times I’ve tried to get you guys to give me atattoo? I thought I was going to have to sneak off to Savage Ink and have them do it.”
“Over my dead body,” he grunts.
I soothingly pat his shoulder. “Okay, so why the change of heart?”
He swallows and looks at me shyly. “Well, Boss and Felon were forbidden to touch you.”
I know my eyes about pop out of their sockets. “Excuse me? What?”
He shrugs like it’s no big deal. “I told them I’d break their hands if they even thought about marking you.”
I shake my head. “They’re my friends. They’re with my friends.”
