Izzy,

You can’t be Frankenstein’s monster. You don’t have the square-shaped head for it.

The craftsmanship is great. Some of those logs look hand-hewn.

You alphabetize books in your head? Not just on your shelves? And here I thought you were the semi-normal sister.

You promised on several occasions to refrain from mentioning he-who-shall-not-be-named in the white shirt. If I ever was tempted to be an Austen fan, which I’ve not been, the amount of times that guy is mentioned would kill any desire for it. He sets up unrealistic expectations for guys too. I’ve been grumpy for years and still haven’t found the perfect woman.

Luke

PS: Penelope still wears that princess hat.

PPS: I’ve made dinner for women before, too, and it hasn’t helped.

Oh, Izzy!!

That house is a fairy tale! I can’t even believe those photos are real! And the sea is so magical—and a safe distance away. I know you all keep saying sea monsters are not real, but I am sure I saw one during our beach trip when I was seven. It wasnota clump of coral, no matter what Luke says. It had eyes!!

And do be careful, Izzy. I see a strange white smudge in the corner of one of the photos of the empty sitting room. Do you think it’s one of those ghost photos? What is the history of some lonely, cliffside manor house that has been left to deteriorate for years? Highly suspect for a possible haunting, you know? Even though I don’t really believe in ghosts, of course, but still... I’d certainly want to know if there were any murders that took place there, especially if I was planning on my happily ever after and all. (RecallHamlet.)

Oh! I still have my princess hat. It’s in a keepsake box with my poster of Chris Pine, my favorite hair scrunchies, a gel pen given to me by Tommie Cauldwell, and the shoes I wore on my first trip to England. There’s also an old pack of bubble gum, but I can’t remember why it’s there.

I order my books by color. They’re much prettier on the shelves that way.

All these pictures just heighten my excitement about my internship. It’s very strict, though. I think I’m going to be placed in some kind of governmental position because the amount of paperwork I have to complete for the intern position is enormous.

Anyway, I’m so excited for you and your dreams, Izzy. Maybe this one will come true!!

Love,

Penelope

PS: I already feel a kinship to Brodie’s mother. It’s the same feeling I have when I see anyone who remotely resembles Julie Andrews. Maybe I can meet Ellen when I come to Skymar!

PPS: Isn’t there some Bible verse about God doing exceedingly and abundantly above what we even think?Exceedinglyandabundantlyare very optimistic words in the right context. For some reason it makes me think ofThe Sound of Music.

PPPS: Luke, Izzy’s dinner probably didn’t consist of french fries and freshly caught trout. Romantic food makes a difference.

Penny-girl,

I think that once you take a photo of a ghost, they can’t live in that place anymore. Maybe the same thing is true for sea monsters.
