“None of them wanted to go home with you, huh?” He laughs.

“That’s not exactly it,” I say.

“What happened?”

“The one I was interested in turned out to be my sister’s best friend,” I admit.

“You’re fucking kidding me!”

“I wish I was,” I tell him. “Speak a word of this to Wren and you’ll never have a fucking chance with her. Got it?”

“Yeah, bro.” He snorts. “I got it.”

I thought about her the rest of the night after she walked out on me. Finding out she’s my sister’s best friend is like a blow to the gut. She caught my eye for a reason, and now I that I know who she is, I’ll have to work hard to win her over.

We just finishedwith lunch and Wren, Rivet, and I decide to get dressed and go play pool in the clubhouse. I change into my distressed jeans and a maroon t-shirt that fits like a glove— casual yet sexy. I slide on my matching chucks and pile my hair on my head in a messy bun. Swiping on some mascara and eyeliner, I’m ready to go.

“How can you be dressed down yet still look so hot?” Rivet whisper-shouts at me. I shrug and giggle. The four of us walk down to the clubhouse together. Wren and I walking with our arms linked together.

“How are things with you and Zack,” I ask her. She’s been dating him for around six months now and from some of the things she’s told me about him, I’m not his biggest fan. Of course, I haven’t gotten to meet him yet because of my work schedule.

“We’re really good. We should have a double date soon so you can finally meet him,” she suggests.

“Great idea but you’re forgetting I don’t have a boyfriend,” I remind her.

“I’m sure he has a friend he could bring. I’ll text him!” She pulls her phone out to send Zack a text. Walking into the clubhouse, I’m assaulted with the scent of leather and cigarettes.

“I’ll go for you, but I can already tell you I won’t be interested in anyone he’s going to bring,” I tell her.

“Where are y’all going?” Standing before us is a gorgeous, God-like man. He has long, dirty blonde-ish hair pulled back into a bun and a short beard. His arms are covered, and I meancovered, intattoos. His neck too. I look at Wren so I won’t gawk at him.

“Nowhere,” Wren says to the guy. He gives her pleading eyes. “Come on, Sienna. Let’s go.” She drags me over to the pool tables where Rivet is talking to Minx.

“Do you want to tell me what that was about,” I whisper to Wren.

“Maybe later,” she replies.

“Okay, what about who that guy is?”

“She didn’t tell you? That’s Sketch.” Rivet grins.

“Well, now everything makes a little more sense,” I chuckle.

“What is that supposed to mean,” Wren asks.

“Oh, nothing,” I sing-song. She glances at her phone and her face lights up.

“He’s got someone for you,” she tells me. “Double date, Tuesday night.”

“Can’t wait,” I mumble sarcastically.

“Who’s going on a double date? Why wasn’t I invited?” Minx pouts.

“I’m not ready for Zack to meet any of the brothers,” Wren says with hesitation.
