“Minx? Who’s coming for her? Your Prez?” Ratchet asks.

The guy keeps grinning and starts laughing again, not giving away any more information. Ratchet throws a punch to his face and knocks him out. Rascal and Saint let me go. I’m so pissed off right now. I need to hit something or someone. It’s not enough we have to worry about Minx’s ex. Now the Iron Lords have confirmed they’re after her too.

“I’m claiming her. I’ll say it again in Church tomorrow, but she’s mine. I know this club would protect her without me claiming her, but it needed to be said.” With that, I leave. I need to get back to the clubhouse, back to my girl. I need to see for my own eyes that she’s okay. I think my brothers know that, because no one bothers trying to stop me.

I make it back to the clubhouse in record time. I walk inside and Sketch is sitting at the bar alone. Everyone that stayed behind must have gone to bed. I walk up to the bar and stand next to him.

“She went to your room about two hours ago,” he tells me. “How did everything go?”

I shake my head. “Not good. Everyone is still out there. I had to get back here to Minx. We’ll fill you in tomorrow.”

“Well, go get her then.” He lets out a light laugh. I slap him on the shoulder, a gesture to say see ya later. Then take off for my room. I open the door quietly, in case she’s sleeping.

As soon as I see her curled up on my bed, sound asleep, I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. The TV is on and I chuckle to myself when I see she fell asleep watching one of the Fast and the Furious movies. This girl is something else.

I close the door behind me and move as quietly as I can to the bathroom. There’s no way I’m climbing into bed covered in dirt, sweat, and blood. I turn the water on, undress, and hop in, washing away the sins of my day.
