Me

Will you text me when you get home tonight?

Addison

Is this a DADDY thing?

Me

LOL. No, it’s a Ridge thing. I want to make sure my girl gets home safely because I’m not there to drive you.

Addison

Melting. Again.

Addison

Home. <3

Me

Was it a good night?

Addison

I missed you …

Me

Think about me in your dreams.

Addison

For the briefest of moments, I looked down at the sandy beach, where my hand was linked with Ridge’s. I felt the heat from his skin, the protectiveness from his grip. I saw the masculinity in the size of his palm and the length of his fingers and the dusting of hair by his wrist.

And while I stared at it—at us, bound—I found myself clenching him.

There wasn’t a blanket beneath us this time. There had been earlier, but we’d moved locations since we’d arrived, and we now sat on the wet sand, where the water was lapping our bare feet.

But the water went further than just our toes. It covered our hands during each wave. Our forearms. It went past our butts, the coldness of the Pacific making us laugh as the salt fizzled behind us.

No words, just sounds and senses.

As I lifted my eyes to his face, every thought began to pour through my head.

How did I get this man?

How did I end up here?

Why is he so into me?

Will he wait?
