“Good. It’ll be nice to see you in something other than a suit.” He looked damned good in a suit. But I was curious what he looked like in something much less formal.

I supposed any man looked good in an expensive suit. I did bet that Warner would look nice in anything, though. And he’d look especially good without anything on. I was sure of it.

What I wasn’t sure was how long I should wait before having sex with him. He made things tingle inside of me without any effort. I was sure the sex would be off the charts amazing.

I’d never had fantastic sex. I’d had the kind of sex that got the job done—most of the time—and that was about it. It would be nice to know what amazing sex felt like. Even if I never had it again, it would be nice to know it did exist.

Up until meeting Warner, I’d thought people had to be exaggerating about sex being so amazing. Then again, I usually only heard such things from people who had metthe one—their words, not mine.

Maybe that was the real difference between a good relationship and a bad one—the sex. It would make sense then that a man or woman would want to lock down their partner if they ever found that kind of explosive connection.

If that was so, then how would I handle leaving him? And here I go again, thinking about when I leave. I’ve got to stop doing that.

“Do you like to sing, Orla?” Warner asked me as he helped me climb up into his tall truck.

“Um, like in front of people?” I wasn’t that brave.

“No, likewiththem.”

I had no clue what he was talking about. “I can carry a tune, but that’s about it.”

“That’s all you’d have to do.” He closed the door, then walked around the truck.

I watched him. His broad shoulders moved like those of a panther. Effortless. Perfect posture, hair, skin, and when he caught me looking at him, his smile was perfect as well.

Getting into the truck, he chuckled. “Checking me out, huh?”

“I thought I’d get a good look at you before you put our lives in danger with your speedy driving—just in case it’s the last nice thing I see.” I grabbed theoh shitbar and held on. “I’m ready.”

Laughing, he gunned the engine, then sped away, leaving me breathless. Only this time, I was breathless with excitement to be sitting next to the man beside me.
