Callie strokes my chest with her nails, giving me goosebumps. “With more hot sex?” Her sweet melodic voice makes the question sound more innocent than it should.
My shoulders shake as I chuckle. “Sure. I’ll give you all the hot sex you want.”
“You’re the best boyfriend ever.”
I bristle at the word “boyfriend”. It sounds so juvenile. Callie is more than just my girlfriend. She’s my everything.
She misconstrues my flinch and mumbles, “Sorry.”
I pull out of her and roll us onto our sides to face one another, draping her leg over my hip. “I hope I’m more than your boyfriend, princess.”
She smiles against my chest, her lips grazing my skin. “Are you my man-friend?” she teases, and I pinch her ass for her snark, making her chuckle.
Callie looks up at me with big doe eyes, stealing my breath. I push her wild hair behind her ear and stare at her swollen lips. She’s so fucking gorgeous all sexed up.
“For now, your partner. But someday soon, you’ll be my wife,” I tell her.
She smiles widely and taps her lips with her finger. “And that would make you my…” Callie waits for me to fill in the blank.
After all the time I spent pushing her away, I understand she needs the verbal affirmation of my feelings. “Husband.”
“Can I call you hubby?” she teases.
“You can call me anything you want.”
“Hmm. How about daddy? Can I call you daddy?” She hums and licks my nipple, making my cock jerk.
I slide out from under her like my ass is on fire. “I know what you’re doing.”
“Sorry, daddy.” The little minx pretends to pout as her eyes sparkle with mischief, giving her away.
And now, I’m hard as stone.
“Fuck.” I rush to the bathroom and slam the door. “You’re going to pay for that,” I shout at her through the door.
Callie howls with laughter, which brings a smile to my face. I’ve never been this fucking happy in my life.
Mornings like these should never end, and the only way for that to happen is for Callie to move in with me. Crazy fast? Sure. But nothing ever felt so right.
The words on the page in front of me blur as my mind drifts back to this morning. I can’t get the way Callie purred “daddy” out of my head. I never thought being called daddy would do it for me, but then again, anything that comes out of Callie’s mouth gets me hard.
How do I broach the subject of moving in together without freaking her out? Fuck it. I’ll just hire people to collect her clothes from the penthouse and move them into my closet so she can’t say no.
Isn’t that kidnapping?
The reception desk buzzes my office, giving me a good reason to ignore the logical part of my brain telling me to ask and not force Callie to move in.
“Hi, Reenie, what can I do for you?”
“Eli, it’s Dez. The she-devil is here.”
Silla. I wondered how long it would take her to come out of hiding after Callie and I made our relationship public. The gossip about our newly kindled romance went over smoother than I thought it would. Hudson thinks the video that was leaked helped. Sure, it showed Callie falling, but it also captured me freaking the fuck out and catching Callie in my arms.
I haven’t watched the video. The thought of seeing Callie fall again makes me sick to my stomach. Reliving one of the scariest moments in my life isn’t exactly on my to-do list.
“You can send her in.”
“Are you ready?”
