“Better than alpha?”
“Definitely.Mrs.McKenzie sounds even better.”
“Very well.Mrs.McKenzie it is.”
Wow, I’m getting married! There are so many things to do.Ihave to find a dress, plan the ceremony, the reception, send out invitations….
“We should discuss dates.”
“Tomorrow’s perfect for me,” he replies.
“I want a big wedding.”
“I’ll give you a few weeks. That’s it.We have to wait untilthe next full moon for the mating ceremony anyway. You want to do them both onthe same day?”
“No!I’m not spending my wedding night as a wolf. And how doyou expect me to plan a wedding in a few weeks?”
“You’re the one who never even wanted a relationship. Why doyou want a big wedding?”
“That was before I met you,” I say in a quiet voice, trailing my finger down his chest.
He sighs deeply.“We’ll get a planner. That’s my compromise.I’m sure Madelaine can find the perfect dress for you.”
“Ugh!Fine.”I hop out of bed and go in search of my phone.Once I’ve found it, I bring up the calendar and return to the bed.“Look… If wedo it this last weekend in October, we have a few days until the blue moon.Wecould have the mating ceremony then.”
“Okay.”
“Okay?”
“Whatever you want, Mrs.McKenzie.”
“Oh, Ethan!”I squeal.“I can’t wait to be your wife.”
“Me, too.Maybe we should just go to Vegas.”
“Big.Wedding.Oh!I have to call Sandy!”
Before I dial, I turn to Ethan, biting my bottom lipnervously.“Ethan….”
“Hmm?”
“Can I tell Sandy… about us?”
“Casey….”
“She’s my best friend.I can’t hide something like this fromher.”
“You think she’d be able to handle it?”
“I have to try.Please.”
“Okay, sweetheart.We’ll figure it out.”
“Thanks!”
I give him a quick kiss then dial Sandy’s number.Sheanswers on the first ring the way she always does.I swear her phone ispermanently glued to her ear.
“Hey, Case!”
