‘Strong Alpha. Powerful Alpha.’Halley’s lilting voice faintly echoes through my own racing thoughts. I shudder and study my squad to see if they heard her, too.
“You couldn’t stop thinking about me?” Knox asks with raised brows and intense interest. He’s always been single-mindedly focused on our missions and the military.
Halley might be the first female to grab him by the cock, metaphorically, although the way the sexual tension is vibrating through the air, it may actually happen.

All of their eyes flick to me. Did they hear me think that?
None of us are confessing to the weird shit happening and it’s only building the tension, confusion and arousal wrapping our party of five in a tangle of anticipation.
Knox breaks first. His eyes shift from burgundy to vibrant red, spitting heat.
He cups the nape of her neck and tugs her towards him with the confidence of a Prime Alpha. He stoops to make sure their eyes are level as he brushes his thumb across her cheek and then plucks at her bottom lip, copying Shade’s earlier actions.

Halley tries to shake her head, but her scent spikes with fresh slick.

At them.
At her.
At us.
Because something inside each of us stirs awake. I can feel her soft lips moving against mine like a ghost. I can feel their kiss like an echo. I see it in the widening of Blaze’s eyes, the desperate deepening of Knox’s kiss, the curious tilt of Shade’s head, and my own racing heart.
It’s real, and it’s happening.
When Knox finally gave into his desire for Halley, our Omega, a puzzle piece we didn’t know was missing, clicked into place, and it’s linked us inexplicably. I’m not afraid. No, I feel braver than I have ever felt. The strength of five souls holding me steady.
The door to our past snaps shut.

I don’t know why I’m hearing my squad’s voices in my head or why I can feel their touches. I only know that everything just changed and we will never be the same.
