“Coming,” Jack whispered just before the bitter tang of cum spread on Ben’s tongue. Jack pushed in deep, pulled out and the next shots landed on Ben’s face, his lips and cheek and chin. “So hot. Damn.” Jack rubbed his dick over Ben’s face, spreading his seed. “Ungh. I wish you didn’t have to wash it off.”

Before Ben could say anything, Jack pulled him up and started licking him clean.

Tongue baths were awesome things. As coywolves, Ben and his siblings often cleaned each other in such a way, although not, in any regards, a sexual way. But with Jack, it blurred into something richer—comfort braided with lust, the kind of intimacy that spoke louder than words. Ben’s beast all but purred, finally at peace. Licking and cleaning meant caring and love, safety and pack, so to have Jack do that to him was an incredible experience. It was Jack claiming him, protecting him, whether Jack knew it or not.

“I know. I see it, feel it. You’re so much a part of me already, I can’t imagine not being with you. We can’t spend the rest of the week apart, Ben. Not the whole week.”

“No,” Ben agreed. “Can I stay with you at night? I’ll come over after I run tonight.”

“Yes,” Jack said out loud. “You do that. Every night.” He licked Ben again, from lips to cheek to ear. “Do that, and tonight, when you come to me, I’m going to make you mine in every way.”

Ben’s insides warmed and jittered. “I’ve never bottomed before.”

“I know. I remember. I’ll make sure you love it.” Jack kissed him then, sharing with Ben the flavor of his own release.

Ben shivered and pressed in close to Jack.

Less than a minute later, someone banged on the door. “If y’all are done now?”

“Lacey,” Ben muttered.

Jack steered him back to the sink. “Wash off. I might have missed a spot, but I doubt it.”

Ben doubted it too. He smelled like sex and Jack. He rinsed his face off, then dried it. “Ready to face the pack?”

Jack grinned. “Bring them on.” Ben gave Jack a noisy kiss, then opened the door. Lacey, Robin, Anne, Emil and Casey were assembled not six feet away, and all but Casey began clapping and whistling when Ben and Jack stepped out.

Ben flipped them off. “Cut it out, or I’ll disown all of you.”

“Right,” Lacey said. She walked right up to Jack and sniffed him. “You smell like sex and Ben. Ew. But welcome to our family. I’m Lacey.”

Jack held out his hand to her, but Lacey rolled her eyes and hugged him instead.

Jack stayed through the introductions, and not much longer. “I have to go. I promised Rhett his favorite pizza since he’s so miserable.”

“Miserable?” Casey asked. “Is he sick?”

Jack shrugged. “No reason for you to worry about him. Ben can fill you in on what happened. I have to run.” He turned to Ben. “See you later?”

“Count on it.” Ben clasped Jack’s nape and took a quick, hard kiss. “Later.”

Jack’s cheeks pinked and he grinned. “Okay. Just remember what I said.”

Ben’s heart kicked, hearing the quiet claim in Jack’s tone. For a man still finding his footing back home, Jack didn’t hesitate when it came to them. That certainty lit Ben up inside.

“Ohhhh, what’d he say?” Anne asked. “Something dirty?”

“If so, we don’t want to know,” Emil quickly added.

Ben ignored them and watched as Jack strode from the building. “He’s something else.”

“What happened to Rhett?” Casey asked.

Ben looked at him. “He got in a fight with Aldan, one of the guys he fired for being a bigot. Aldan got some punches in, too, but I think Rhett won the battle. That brings us to the reason Jack stopped by.” Ben turned his full attention to his pack. This was important information, and he delivered it soberly. “I told Jack I didn’t think Aldan could really know about us, but I wonder.”

“You wonder if wolf and coyote shifters would put their own lives at risk, the whole secrecy of shifters’ existence at risk, just to get rid of us?” Casey asked. “I’d go with it being possible. Stupid, but possible.”

Emil rubbed his arms. “So what do we do?”
