“Yes,” Daka hissed, clenching Mahu between his thighs.

“Take it.” Mahu’s lids fluttered but didn’t completely close as he came, eyes on Daka, watching him through the peak.

Daka wasn’t sure what Mahu could see. The fervor leaving his body to be soaked up greedily by Daka’s? The expanding of Daka’s chest as he drank the ardor in, filled himself with Mahu’s climax, and licked his lips for more.

Mahu’s hands came around his back, fingers pressed to his skin, clutching the muscles there. Daka let himself be held up, intoxicated with pleasure. He collapsed against Mahu’s chest and mouthed the juncture of neck and shoulder.

They breathed together. Their hearts pounded in rhythm. Daka felt whole in Mahu’s warm embrace.

The scent of their lovemaking hung heavy in the air. Daka breathed it in ravenous gulps. Hiding beneath it was the prickly aroma Mahu carried, the one Daka didn’t like because he feared its cause, but he pushed the worry aside to enjoy the moment.

“Are you feeling better?” Mahu’s deep voice, full of concern.

Daka eased back enough to see his face. “See for yourself.”

Mahu checked him over, lips curved to smiling, crinkles at the corner of each eye. “You really do look a bit drunk.”

“I feel a bit drunk.” Daka giggled. His whole body tingled with sparkling warmth. “It will pass. I feel wonderful.”

“Good,” said Mahu, his hand cupping Daka’s jaw, drawing him in for a kiss.

Daka parted his lips and feasted on Mahu’s gentle tongue as the haze began to fade.

After breaking apart, they washed up in the cool shallow waters of the creek, and Daka dressed. The cows had moved farther downstream, mere specks in the distance, leaving them well and truly alone.

Mahu reached to touch one of his horns. Daka almost shied away, a lingering apprehension sparked and fizzled out as fingers caressed the protrusion from base to tip. Daka shivered.

“You can feel that?” Mahu’s touch gentled.

“Yes, it’s nice. I like your hands on me.”

“What does it feel like?”

Daka wrapped his tail loosely around Mahu’s back. “It’s more sensitive than these.” Daka took Mahu’s forearms in hand and squeezed. “But not as sensitive as these.” He found Mahu’s nipples and pinched them to hardness.

Mahu arched into the touch. His hand left Daka’s horn to trail down his spine, ruck up his tunic, and land firmly at the base of his tail. “And this?”

Daka used the appendage to reel Mahu in even closer. “Unless you plan to fuck me in this field Mahu, touching me like that is a tease.”

Mahu petted the bit of tail he could reach. “I’m glad to know it.”

Daka opened his mouth and took a hunk of Mahu’s thick shoulder muscle between blunt teeth, a love bite, gentle enough to leave no mark, firm enough to promise more. He got another whiff of that strange, prickly scent he worried about, but Mahu seemed healthy. Perhaps it was nothing.

With a moan, Mahu released his tail.

“That’s what I thought,” huffed Daka, kissing the spot where his teeth had been. “I need to head back home. Mother will have gotten the truth out of Niya by now, and they’ll both be waiting. Will you come?”

Mahu stiffened. “You think I should?”

“Please,” said Daka. “It will be best if we go now, while I smell like you, while I’m sated with the gift of your climax. They will know we’ve made amends.”

“That’s what I’m afraid of.”

“Don’t be. It’s good. It will help to win them over.”

“And if it doesn’t?”

“No harm will come to you, Mahu. They love me.” Daka stared into Mahu’s eyes, hands squeezing his biceps. “And I love you.”
