“I’m not going to let anything happen to you, and neither is the rest of the family.” Aiden kisses my temple, hovering there for a moment before he pulls back.

My heart hurts all over again. “Iamsorry about that. I was only doing what I thought I had to for Gia.”

He chuckles and loops an arm around my waist, leading me up the long, stone steps to the massive black front door. “You’ve told me that close to a thousand times since you got out of the hospital. Sooner or later, you’re going to have to stop saying it.”

“I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to apologize enough for what I’ve done.” I take a deep breath as he pulls out the key. “Are you sure you want to do this with me?”

“I already proposed to you, and if you’re talking about the wedding, I’ve never been more sure of anything else in my life. I love you, and I want us to become husband and wife. Sure, we have to go through some shit, but so does every other couple.” He presses the key into my hand and tips his chin toward the door.

I roll my eyes and stick the key into the lock. “Yeah, but not everybody’s going through the same shit we are. My sadistic homicidal maniac of a brother is some pretty big shit. Like an elephant-sized, steaming pile of shit.”

He snorts. “I love it when you talk dirty to me.”

Laughing, I twist the key and push open the door before turning to him with my hands on his hips. “Isn’t this the part where you carry me over the threshold?”

Aiden gets a wicked gleam in his eyes before scooping me up and gently slinging me over his shoulder, careful of the spots that still haven’t healed entirely.

I reach down and smack his ass, giggling as he carries me through the front door.

“Now, speaking of the wedding…” He turns and closes the door behind us. “When do you want to do that? I was thinkingsummer could be nice, and you could walk down the aisle in a tiny white bikini.”

I smack his ass again, earning a smack to my own that leaves the flesh stinging as he carries me into what looks like a white oak and white quartz kitchen. It’s a little hard to tell when I’m upside down and Aiden’s muscles are moving beneath his thin shirt, making my core clench and my mouth water.

I want him, and since I am finally cleared for sex, I plan on having him. In every room of the house. Until neither of us feels like we can move another muscle.

Aiden gently sets me down on top of the counter. “I can feel you staring at me and thinking lusty as hell thoughts.”

“Did you just call my thoughtslusty?” I grab him by the collar and drag him in.

His hips fit between my thighs, his mouth dipping close to mine, only hovering a couple of inches away.

“Prove me wrong.”

My pussy is already too wet to call his bluff. Weeks of being out of commission will do that to a person.

He leans into the apex of my thighs, the swell of his cock pressing against my core.

“Come on.” He brushes his lips against mine in the ghost of a kiss. “I want to show you the rest of the house. The bed was delivered this morning.”

I push him back a step and hop down from the counter. “I guess we better get that tour going.”

He laughs and leads me through the house, showing off the two different studies—one for each of us—both the indoor and the outdoor pool, a gym that’s big enough for several people to work out at the same time, and countless bedrooms and bathrooms. It feels like the tour is never going to end, especially as he presses the button and calls the elevator to take us to the third floor.

“Now, the top floor was originally a couple of different bedrooms, but I thought it would be good to have it renovated before we moved in fully.” Aiden gestures to the elevator as the glass doors slide open, and we step inside.

We take the elevator up and step off into a small common room. To the right, I step through another door only to see what looks like the comfiest movie theater ever—different from the one downstairs. This one just has one of those massive couches that looks like a cloud in the center and a snack bar at the very back with a black curtain that can hide it.

I turn to him with my hands on my hips. “Aiden, this is excessive. We didn’t need this much room.”

“We have a big family. We needed this much room. Especially if something happens and all of us need to be under the same roof again.”

“I doubt that’s going to happen.”

“You never know.” Aiden puts his hands over my eyes, leading me back the way we came. “Now, for the main event.”

“I swear to fuck, if you’re about to whip out your cock?—”

“Then you’ll be begging for it. But no, that’s not what’s happening right now.” His lips skate over my ear, sending a tingle down my spine. “Not yet, at least.”
