“Yes, please,” she said, rolling onto her back and stretching her arms above her head.

“Go get cleaned up and meet me in the kitchen. I’ll let Linda know she can start cooking.”

Jenna turned to look at him. “Linda?”

“My cook.” Mark cocked his eyebrow at her and shot her a charming smile. “You didn’t think I cooked for myself, did you?”

Jenna snorted. “Of course you don’t.”

It would make zero sense for a billionaire to do anything for himself, but Mark acted so normal most of the time that sometimes she forgot he probably used Benjamins as toilet paper.

“There should be a fresh outfit for you in the bathroom. I had Mindy pick it up for you this morning.”

“And who is Mindy, your personal stylist?” Jenna asked, half-sarcastically but also half expecting that to be her exact job title.

“Personal assistant,” Mark said, reaching over to pat the side of her leg. “Someone gets sassy when they’re hungry.”

“It’s true,” Jenna said with a yawn, swinging her legs over the side of the bed and standing up. “You should learn that about me early on. Keeping snacks on hand is important.”

“I’ll have my butler make a note of that,” Mark said with a wink, getting out of bed himself and shooting an appreciative look at Jenna. “God, you look amazing naked.”

Jenna blushed. “I’m sure I look a mess.”

“I never get tired of seeing your beautiful body,” Mark assured her before giving her a quick kiss on her cheek, then a light smack on her ass. He walked out of the bedroom, telling her over his shoulder, “Don’t take too long.”

Jenna found her way into Mark’s luxurious master bathroom, momentarily overwhelmed by the sheer opulence. Thesprawling space was decked out with sleek, high-tech fixtures and shiny marble floors that reflected the soft lighting overhead.

Her stomach growled again, and she considered just throwing on some clothes without showering first, but she had only been bathed with a sponge in the last twenty-four hours, and that just wasn’t going to cut it.

Making her way to the massive walk-in shower, Jenna took in the multiple adjustable shower heads, futuristic digital controls, and built-in benches. She turned on the water, fiddling with the settings until the temperature and pressure were just right. As warm water cascaded over her, she could feel the leftover aches from the previous night start to dissipate.

After quickly washing her hair and body, Jenna stepped out and wrapped herself in a plush towel from the heated rack. Running a comb through her damp hair, she walked over to the neatly folded outfit left out for her. She couldn’t help but smile as she saw the clothes—a soft, cozy cashmere sweater in a pretty mauve shade paired with dark-wash designer jeans. Casual yet effortlessly stylish. Sitting on top of the jeans was a tasteful but beautiful lacey panty and bra set that matched the color of the sweater.

Jenna slipped on the outfit, amazed by how well everything fit, as if it were tailored specifically for her body. The cashmere was luxuriously soft against her skin. Looking in the mirror, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smoothed the sweater.

She liked this personal assistant girl already.

Walking downstairs, she was greeted by the smell of bacon and freshly brewed coffee. Her mouth watered as she made her wayover to the kitchen table, where Mark was sitting reading the newspaper like a family patriarch straight out of the 1950s. He was freshly showered and dressed already, and he had a plate of eggs, bacon, and fruit in front of him.

He looked up and smiled at her. “Jenna, this is Linda.”

Jenna’s gaze shifted over to the gas-range stove, where a middle-aged woman with short brown hair and kind eyes was flipping pancakes.

“It’s lovely to meet you, Jenna,” the woman greeted her as she finished piling a plate with the same delicious foods that Mark had on his. “Would you like pancakes as well? Mark is always avoiding carbs, but I was hoping you might be a little more fun.” She winked at Jenna.

“I’d love some pancakes,” Jenna said with a grin. “It’s really nice to meet you.”

“Coffee and orange juice are on the table,” Linda said as she added a couple of pancakes to the already heaping plate.

Jenna plopped down into the chair opposite Mark, looking up at Linda gratefully when she walked over and set the steaming plate in front of her. “I’ll try and work on making him more fun,” she told Linda, who smiled at her graciously.

Mark set down his newspaper and looked at Jenna with a deadpan expression. “I thought we had plenty of fun last night,” he whispered, and Jenna blushed.

He was charming alright, but he could be kind of a smug asshole sometimes, too.

“Well, I’ll leave you two to enjoy your breakfast,” Linda said, grabbing a large tote bag and heading toward the elevator. “I’ll be back to do dishes and make dinner tonight.”

“Thanks, Linda,” Mark said, not breaking eye contact with Jenna.
