As he ended the call and slipped his phone back into his pocket, Scott regarded him with raised eyebrows. “What’s going on?”
“Jenna’s been in a car accident,” Mark replied quickly, his mind already racing. “She’s okay but needs a ride. I’ll update you later.”
Scott nodded, clearly recognizing the urgency in Mark’s tone. “We’ll handle the meeting prep.”
Mark gave his friend a grateful nod before striding purposefully toward the parking garage, worry etched on his normally composed features.
He got into his car, entering the destination Jenna had given him before taking some deep breaths to calm himself and stop thinking about how thoroughly she needed her cute ass reddened. There would be time enough for that later…
For now, his only focus was on taking care of her when she needed it most.
He had already realized that he was falling in love with Jenna, and he was pretty confident he knew what she wanted. Or at least what sheneeded. He just had to convince her to trust him, and sometimes it felt like he was coaxing a scared—but very feisty—little bunny out from under his front porch. If anything, this situation might be his chance to finally make her fully his.
It was less than ten minutes before he pulled up to the corner of Elm and Park Street, his eyes immediately scanning the area for Jenna. He spotted her near a badly dented Prius, her blond hair catching the sunlight. She was wearing pajamas, and her expression was a mix of frustration and relief as she saw him approach.
“Jenna,” he called out as he got out of his car, his stern gaze fixed on her. “Are you okay?”
Jenna fidgeted, appearing both grateful and irritated at once by his arrival. “I’m fine. It just happened so fast…” Her voice trailed off.
Mark stepped closer, scrutinizing the damage before looking back at her. “You need to be more careful,” he said, his voice carrying a note of reprimand. “This could have been a lot worse.”
Jenna crossed her arms. “I know, Mark. I just… wasn’t paying attention for a second.”
His sternness softened slightly as he placed a hand on her shoulder. “Let’s focus on getting this sorted out.” He pulled out his phone and made a quick call, arranging for a tow truck from a reputable auto shop nearby.
The tow truck arrived within minutes, and Mark supervised as the car was hooked up and readied for transport. “They’ll take care of it,” he assured Jenna. “The shop’s reliable—they’ve handled my cars before.”
Jenna nodded, her tension seeming to ease a bit. “Thanks, Mark.”
Mark’s eyes softened further as he looked her over. “Are you sure you’re okay? No injuries?”
“Just shaken up, that’s all,” she admitted, her green eyes meeting his with a mix of gratitude and frustration.
“Alright,” Mark said, offering her a reassuring smile. “Come on, get in my car. I’ll give you a ride.”
Jenna hesitated for a moment, then sighed and nodded, allowing herself to be led to Mark’s vehicle. “Thanks,” she muttered as she settled into the passenger seat.
Mark shut her door gently and walked around to the driver’s side, getting in and starting the engine. He glanced at her as he pulled away from the curb. He had to play this next part just right unless he wanted another angry drunk-text tomorrow night…
“It’s going to be okay, Jenna. We’ll get this sorted out.”
Jenna looked out the window, and Mark decided it was time to go for broke.
“You may not realize this, but you’ve become pretty special to me, more than anyone else I’ve met in quite a while.” She turned her face a little toward him, and he hardened his voice a bit. “Now, I want you to listen closely, because I’m going to give you two choices.”
She turned to shoot him a look, and for a moment he thought she was going to say something sassy, but she didn’t speak.
“I’m happy to help you take care of this thing with your car, and I’m not expecting anything from you in return. If you’d like, I’ll drive you home right now and I promise I’ll never bother you again. We can even just stay friends if you’d like.” He glanced over at her and saw that she was staring down at her hands in her lap now. He paused for a moment, then continued. “Or we can go back to my house, and I can deal with your recent behavior.”
For a moment he wondered if she’d heard him at all, since she continued to study her hands in silence. But then, as he stopped at a traffic light and turned to get a better look at her, he could see a bright red blush creeping over her cheeks.
“Your house,” she answered softly, “… sir.”
Mark felt his cock twitch in his jeans.
Yes, she knew what she needed. And he wasn’t going to hold back from giving it to her.
