“So, you’re the one who captured Rust’s heart?”

A younger, gorgeous she-wolf with waist-length jet black hair and ice blue eyes arches an elegant eyebrow at me. Her cool gaze assesses me. We’re the same height at five feet, nine inches. But somehow, she looks down at me. I bristle. Then she throws her head back and laughs.

“And thank the gods! One lessbig brotherto hamper my lifestyle!” She says with warmth in her gaze as she strides towards me. “I’m Signy Larson—Jagger and Viggo’s younger sister. Hence their besties adopted kid sister. Ugh! Welcome to our pack!”

I shake her hand as Rust nudges her with a chuckle. She swats him away and sticks her tongue out. He laughs even harder. The rest of us join in.

“And this is Sasha—my fated mate—and I’m Dylan.”

It seems as though all the males in this pack are downright sexy. Golden eyes peer at me from a foot above. I smile and turn my gaze to Sasha. She’s an ethereal beauty with ash blonde waist-length hair. Her dove gray eyes sparkle set in an oval-shaped face of alabaster skin. She hugs me with one arm since her pregnant belly makes it impossible for a full embrace.

“Nice to meet you, Natalie,” she says in a Russian accent. “I understand you’re an OB-GYN. No offense to Rust. But I’d love for you to deliver my baby girl.”

“Oh, that’s not even a question. No way will Rust continue as your doctor now that we have a capable she-wolf doctor in our pack,” Dylan says with a growl.

Everyone laughs at his possessiveness.

“It would be my honor to care for you and your pup. I can tell you don’t have much time before you deliver her,” I say as I eye Sasha’s heavily pregnant belly, then turn to Rust. “I don’t imagine you plan for the delivery at the hospital.”

He shakes his head.

“No, that’s too risky for human interference. We have a state-of-the-art hospital on the pack’s private island, Moon Island, in Biscayne Bay in Miami. And no offense taken, Sasha. In fact, I’m thrilled to pass all the care of the she-wolves to my fated mate. And no, she will not tend to the males!”

Again, everyone laughs.

“What did we miss?”

“Hardy har har.”

A male wolf shifter strides into the great room ahead of Tag. I recognize the ice blue eyes from Jagger and Signy and guess he’s Viggo. The dark ginger red hair resembles Rust’s, but the features match his siblings. Another striking Viking male.

“Viggo! Let me introduce you to Natalie, my fated mate. Natalie, this is Viggo—”

“Jagger and Signy’s brother. I recognize the resemblance!” I cut in as I wave at Viggo, then turn to Tag. “Good to see you again, Tag!”

He smiles and nods.

“All righty then. We shall leave you she-wolves to your business. The guys and I are outta here!” Jagger says. He winks at Rust’s father and adds, “Care to join us for a bit of mischief?”

The older male chuckles and declines the invitation. He heads out the door with a wave. Rust kisses me breathless and joins his buddies after Jagger and Dylan kiss their fated mates. Signy makes gagging noises while Viggo and Tag roll their eyes. Once they’re gone, Sage turns to me.

“Now, let’s get started.”

CHAPTER16

Rust

“Enough with thefancy mansions for the Everglades! Time for us to get back to the male style and rough it. No built-in espresso machines. Don’t even start me on the steam showers. Forget about the manicured lawns. We’re leaving it all behind from now until noon tomorrow. Get changed and grab your packs, fellas. We’re out!”

Viggo glances at me. I turn to Tag. He cocks an eyebrow at Jagger, who snorts.

“For real? D., what the hell do you have planned exactly?”

“Since we’re bonding ourselves to our fated mates one by one, I figure we should renew our best friends’ bond each time one of us pairs up. Remind ourselves we got each other's backs. No male left behind type of attitude.”

We express our agreement, then a feral gleam lights his golden eyes as he chuckles wickedly and rubs his hands together.

“Now for the good part… We hike to the spot we used to hang out at as pups. Pitch tents. Hunt as wolves. Explore. I arranged a few activities for us, including airboat races and fishing. So, if you’re finished asking questions, let’s. Get. At. It!”
