CHAPTER 24
Kyla
“Hey,” I say when I open the door.
“Hey,” Loki says, leaning into me and dropping a kiss on my cheek. “Ready?”
“I don’t know.” I sweep my eyes up and down the length of his body.
He’s wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans fitted enough to showcase his tall, muscular body. The Americana Converse high-tops with stars and stripes add a pop of color. Only Lochlan Berkshire can make such a simple outfit look this sexy.
“Cool shoes,” I say. “Very patriotic.”
“America the great,” he smiles.
“Is this okay?” I ask, pointing at my outfit. “I didn’t know what to wear since you wouldn’t tell me where we were going.”
For our first date, Loki promised an adventure for the Hollywood princess––who’s seen it all, who has it all and who’s been halfway around the world and back. Fun and unique, is all I had to go by.
Men.
He taps the tip of my nose. “If I tell you, it’ll kill the surprise.”
“If you don’t tell me, I might be overdressed. Or worse, underdressed.”
“Stop worrying. You’re one of LA’s most stylish women. You could make a burlap bag turn heads.”
“With the right wide belt, shoes and accessories, I could,” I joke.
He laughs.
“Let me set you straight. You look incredible.”
I opted for a strapless top in taupe with a pretty bejeweled appliqué between my boobs, white jeans and a pair of Gianvito Rossi gold espadrille platform wedge sandals to give me height. The man is a tree. I need the advantage.
“Thank you,” I say batting my eyelashes at him.
He bites his lower lip. “Are you wearing a bra underneath this?” His finger traces the edge of my strapless top.
“You’ll find out later.”
“So there’s more for me to look forward to?”
I approach him and daringly cup his cock. “A lot more,” I tell him, meeting his gaze.
He lets out a low growl.
“Fuck, maybe we should skip the first part of our date and jump straight to bed.”
I swat his arm. “Bite your tongue. You promised me an adventure, I expect one,” I say with a determined nod.
“In that case, come on, little lady, my Lexus LC awaits,” he says with a hand gesture. “Let me show you a good time.”

“Are you serious right now?” I ask looking up at the sign on the building in sheer bewilderment.
“I am,” he says in a matter-of-fact way. “This is going to be fun. We rented this place for a video we were shooting for a group three months ago. It was so cool, Rod and I rented the place again last month for an afternoon with our whole team. People are still talking about it today.”
