“To the left and all the way down to the end,” I tell her when the elevator doors open.

“Okay.”

I’m right behind her.

Fuck, that ass.

I can’t even walk behind her without my mind going straight to the gutter. This woman has done a number on me.

When we arrive at our lounge, I let her in first and follow closely. I drop the key card on the small console table near the door. She drops her gold clutch there.

“Let’s get comfortable,” I tell her.

“Sounds good,” she says.

“Straight ahead. You can’t miss it,” I say with a hand gesture.

Just like earlier, my eyes are glued to her beautiful ass.

This is one of the upscale lounges—equipped with a comfortable seating area, full bar, surround sound and floor to ceiling windows—exposed by the open curtains—andaprivate bathroom.

“Please sit,” I invite.

She chooses the best seat in the house––the one that offers the spectacular view of Los Angeles.

I remove my tuxedo jacket and drop it on one of the yellow velvet armchairs. I loosen my tie before removing it altogether.

“Champagne? Wine? Something stronger?” I ask, as I undo a few buttons on my shirt.

“Chardonnay would be great.”

“Let me check,” I tell her.

I roll up my sleeves as I stroll to the bar.

“Wow, you’re taking this seriously,” she jokes.

“The lady wants a drink, damn right I take it seriously,” I wink. I open the wine fridge and find what I’m looking for. “You’re in luck!”

“Thank you,” she says when I drop her glass of wine in front of her on the low black marble coffee table.

As much as I want to sit next to her, I refrain. I sit to her right to give her space.

“Here’s to Thursdays!” I say lifting my cognac glass.

“You’re funny, Loki.”

“You can’t argue with the fact we seem to unexpectedly bump into each other on Thursdays.”

“No, I can’t. Here’s to Thursdays!” she parrots, lifting her glass.

We both take a long sip of our drinks.

“Before we get started, let me explain this whole business with Bliss—”

“I jumped the gun.”

“Yes, you did, but let me start from the beginning.”
