One night…
Sigh.
Nerves careen through my belly at the realization I was able to get my fantasy and now it’s over. But I have to wake up and smell the roses. Naughty Loki is a bad boy. And you can’t tie a bad boy down. Lochlan Berkshire is as much of a stranger to relationships as I was to the G-spot just a few hours ago.
I was perfectly fine with the idea of a once and done with Grant. I knew going in I wouldn’t turn into an addict like Seraphina, but Loki…? Everything is different with him.
I want more.
More of my fake boyfriend.
More of the incredible lover who rocked my world.
More of Loki.
I’m sure for him, this was one night of fun with a girl who was untouchable. I doubt it means more.
A tiger can’t change its stripes.
I push my momentary sadness aside, put all sexual thoughts of Loki away and tiptoe out the door.

When the elevator doors open in the lobby, I ready myself to bolt to the front doors and dive head first in the backseat of a cab, but I don’t go very far.
“Leaving us so soon, Miss O’ Keeffe?” A familiar voice calls out.
I jump in fright.
Shit.
With my heart in my chest, I turn around.
“Err… I… Well…”
Smooth.
“Pardon me?”
I clear my throat and try again.
“Mr. Gallagher. Good morning,” I say with a forced smile.
“Good morning, Miss O’ Keeffe.” His eyes shift from mine to the elevator, as if he’s expecting Loki to step out of it.
“You’re up early,” I say in an attempt to deflate the situation.
“If you’ll allow me,” he says.
Huh?
“I’m sorry, I don’t follow.”
Without saying another word, he comes and stands right behind me. It’s only when I feel him pull up the zipper to my blouse that I clue in.
Obviously, this moment wasn’t mortifying enough.
“Your blouse was slightly crooked,” he explains. “Now, you look perfect.”
