“Where are we going to go?” I ask.
I’m genuinely panicked.
“We need to disappear,” Loki says.
“Wh—what? We can’t just—”
His frown stops further protests.
“This is turning into an action movie.” I’m in disbelief.
“I need to make sure you’re safe,” Loki says. “That’s my number one priority. It won’t happen if we stay at your cousins’ guesthouse. Your safety has been comprised by whoever is playing head games with you. You’re vulnerable to any idiot paparazzi or asshole looking for his or her fifteen minutes of fame.” His words are chilling. “Pack a couple bags. Grab all the essentials. Larkin will find us a hideaway. Make sure Stella and Hayden do the same. I’m not leaving anyone behind.”
