He chuckled. “I don’t mind… but if you want to do something for them, get them an expensive gift. And don’t think about gifting them a destination honeymoon. That’s already taken care of as well.”

“Oh my God! You’re really going all out. I hope you save some for your own wedding. Geesh.”

“Ourwedding is already taken care of too.”

My neck almost did a full three-sixty as I stared at him.

Was he really thinking about marrying me?

I was not wife material. Just the mention of spending forever with someone gave me chills. I didn’t dream of spending forever with anyone. I always looked at relationships as a means to an end. Just his mentioning it made me feel warm and scared at the same time.

Before I could reply, the two superstars, their bodyguards, a man I assumed was the owner, and another man walked up to our table. Messiah stood, shaking their hands while I sat star-struck. The two of them looked so good together, and the way Knowledge protectively stood next to his wife let me know how much he loved her.

“Mr. Knowledge, Ms. Kema… thank you both for meeting with us,” Messiah greeted them.

Knowledge laughed. “Please, brother. It’s just Knowledge and Kema.”

“Respect.”

“And I’m the owner, Jason. I just wanted to come introduce myself and our signature menu for tonight. If there is anything you all need, don’t hesitate to let us know.”

“Thank you, Jason,” Kema said, kissing his cheek as Knowledge pulled out a chair for her. They both took a seat, and Messiah reclaimed his, while the other guy sat on the other side of Kema, pulling an iPad from his satchel.

Messiah placed his arm around my chair and introduced me. “This is my lady and the bride-to-be’s sister, Arieana.”

“Hello, Arieana. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Kema sounded, holding out her hand. I accepted it. “This is Creeland, my assistant.”

“Hello.” He smiled.

“I’m sorry. I’m a little star-struck right now. Please forgive me,” I offered an apology.

She waved me off. “It happens all the time, but I just want you to know that we’re just ordinary people. Just think of us as you would a friend or family member.”

We all laughed, with me not being able to imagine treating her as I would Paige.

“Agreed. We don’t have a lot of time before we have to leave, though. Unfortunately, we gotta get on the road to do a show in Philadelphia,” Knowledge said.

“Understood. So, the wedding is July thirteenth at The Garden House. The ceremony will begin at three p.m., if that date and time works for you all.”

They were quiet as Creeland tapped away on his iPad. “The thirteenth is open for that time, but you all have a meeting with your planner that same day at five-thirty. They will be able to do the wedding, but not the reception.” I looked on, confused.

“I thought you all were already married?” I queried.

Knowledge smiled with his cute ass. “We are, but we never had a wedding. We’re doing it for our people.”

I nodded. “Got it.”

“But let’s postpone the meeting with her. If we’re getting paid to do this wedding, I’d like to see it all the way through,” Kema voiced.

Knowledge cut in, “Babe, you sure?”

“Yeah. Our wedding isn’t until November. We can meet with her either later that night or the next day.”

Messiah cleared his throat. “Speaking of payment. Ballpark figure?”

“How many hours are we talking?” Knowledge asked.

“Six tops.”
