And I’m not talking about the sparkling array of Omegas or the hotness of some of the Alphas looking for a match…

I’m talking about the Monarch herself.

She calls herself a butterfly, but don’t moths come alive at night?

Then again, rumor has it she didn’t look like a moth but a moon.

A celestial body shining bright…or just some aging star glittering before its final breath?

Dark is Night is certainly revving up for a theme.

 All the players were there.

 Of the girls, that is.

Some of the Alphas still haven’t appeared, so we don’t know if this Season has another St. James waiting to take the spotlight. And if there is another Asher, who will be the lucky Violet plucked from the perfumed garden?

Who knows? But I’ll be waiting with bated breath for that, my little worker bees.

Now, the theme is dark so if you want to follow along, put all your spring colors away and dive into the evening.

Think black, brown, burnt orange, metallic gray, whatever you think will give you the sophisticated look. Even some of the younger Omegas who aren’t near their debut looked lovely.

Some girls, like Pauline M. went into full femme fatale last night, which may have been a fatal flaw.

Some wore black covered in so much bling and glitter, you needed to put on night goggles.

And others, like Luna Q., just looked drab in black. Did anyone tell her this was a party and not a funeral?

But there were some, like Alicia D., who pulled off sophisticated with a metallic gray that skimmed her form from neck to floor and with a back that plunged just short of too daring. The half veil and red lipstick?

 Kiss the goddamn chef!

Eyes, however, were on one Iris Gardener. Is she going to be like her sister and land a hot, eligible Alpha to call her own? Time will tell, because though she looked amazing, she doesn’t seem about to follow tradition.

And—scandal alert—she didn’t dance with anyone at all.

Even though her mini kept pinging with requests…or so rumor tells me.

Is this a ploy to make the Alphas flock and perform for her, or is Iris looking to bring scandal down upon her family?

 Time will only tell…

But first we need to see who the chosen Omegas are, who the Luxe is…

 Personally, I can’t wait.

The Monarch could announce any time, but first we have the dusk barbecue, Sparks by the Fire, in the town center. Everyone may be invited, but we know all eyes will be on the Omegas.

Will it be an event with some scandal, hot off the grill?
