She nodded. “It was different. Something I never would have thought of. I didn’t even know they made remote controlled things like that.”
I chuckled. “I can’t wait to see how you react when we use it in public.”
She picked her head up and looked at me. “I just need you to remember something, this is all new and exciting and fun, but it was you who made that hot for me. It’s exploring these things with you that’s the turn on, eo. Don’t ever forget that. I don’t want this with anyone but you.”
My arms banded around her tighter. I already knew this, but it was still good to hear it from her.
“Also,” she continued, “that little scene you described? Good god, my heart almost beat out of my chest thinking about how damn hot it was. Don’t be surprised if I ask you to recreate that in the future.”
Chapter Eleven
Natalie
The restaurant was alive withnoise when I arrived fifteen minutes late for our seven o’clock dinner plans. “Sorry, babes.” I smiled at Norah and Penelope. “Thank you for waiting.”
I kissed both of them hello, and the hostess brought us through the dining room to our table. “Enjoy your meals, ladies.”
“I needed an evening with you guys after my day today,” I told them as we shuffled into the booth.
We’d been doing this since UW, meeting up to discuss our days. We did it almost every day at college and as we grew older, the frequency became less and less but we always tried to meet at least once a month for a sit-down dinner. We met in the Greek Life at the University of Washington. The three of us all pledged the same sorority. It was history from there.
Norah snatched the iPad used for ordering and started tapping on the screen. “I have been craving their bacon cheddar burger all day. I’m getting hangry ladies so let’s order quick, please.”
Norah passed the tablet around the table so we could add what we wanted. Beside the incredible food, the other thing we loved about this restaurant was that you ordered everything from iPads, and it was all brought over when it was ready. It made it so that we could catch up without any interruptions.
Norah was tapping her foot under the table and drumming her fingers on top. “You seem anxious,” I commented, my gaze on the beat her fingers were tapping out.
She shrugged and pulled her hand down to her lap. “I could use a drink, and I’m starving. You know how I get when I’m hungry.”
“Mmm hmm,” I murmured. She did get cranky when she hadn’t eaten, but I had a feeling she was waiting to pounce on me about that incident in her bathroom. We still hadn’t had the conversation I promised her two weeks ago. Norah wasn’t the most patient person, so I knew it was only a er of time before she brought it up.
“So, did you have a bad day or something?” Pen asked as we waited for our drinks to arrive.
“Not bad.” I shook my head. “Just so much unnecessary stress. Bastien is almost unbearable some days. He was in another one of his moods.”
The server arrived with our drinks and I took a generous sip of my Long Island Iced Tea the moment she placed it down.
“I swear that man has all of my upper back and shoulder muscles in a permanent knot lately. I feel like a giant ball of tension. This new gallery and showing may turn all my hair gray by the time it opens.” I continued.
Norah’s eyes glittered with mischief. “I’m sure Matteo could help relieve some stress. He probably has plenty of ideas of how you cangive it to him.”
I groaned. I knew she was waiting for the perfect segue.
Norah cackled like the evil step-monster in a Disney film. “Did you really think that I wouldn’t bring it up first chance I got? You’re lucky I let it go this long.”
I hung my head and groaned, then quickly snatched the iPad to order myself another drink. Thank god I’d taken an Uber so I didn’t have to drive home because a decent amount of alcohol would be needed to handle Norah and Pen throughout this conversation.
Penelope glanced between the two of us, looking out of the loop. “What are you talking about? And give what to Matteo?”
Norah’s smile stretched her entire face as she turned to Penelope. “Her orgasms. Seems Natalie here has been holding out on us. You should have heard them in the bathroom at my party.”
My cheeks were definitely reddening. I cut my gaze to Norah. “No one told you to stand at the door and listen.”
She raised her brows. “No one told you to defile my bathroom and moan loud enough for the whole first floor to hear you.”
Touché.
Penelope huffed. “Can you please fill me in?”
