“Maybe I should.”
She steps around us and turns her head over her shoulder before walking away. “I’ll see you guys later. Sebastian and Devin, I’m so happy you’ll both be at the shelter for Thanksgiving. I’ll make sure to update the press releases, so no one is left out.”
“Sounds good,” Sebastian answers, stepping up alongside me. “We definitely don’t want to leave out Devin.”
He nudges my shoulder, and I pinch his arm to get him to step away from me.
“Take care, Madison.” Jax nods.
“Bye, Jax,” she says.
Sebastian’s voice is stern and demanding, reminding me of Mark. “Text me later and let me know that you’re okay.”
She nods and glances at me. “Night, Devin.”
“Feel better,” I say softly and wink.
We watch as she leaves the room, and I take the opportunity to sneak away.
“Where are you going, Ms. Miller?” Sebastian calls out after me.
“Anywhere to get the hell away from you.” I’m sure his friend will know all about what happened on that table in a few short minutes, so I don’t care if he has suspicions right now. Plus, he has his own secret to worry about keeping.
“Come on, princess. Don’t be like that.”
I stomp back toward him after that stupid nickname, jabbing my finger into his chest as hard as I can as I reach him. “Let me make one thing clear, you arrogant ass, I can’t fucking stand you right now.”
When that stupid grin reappears on his soft lips, lips that only twenty minutes ago were on my pussy, I turn on my heels and walk away before I do something I’ll regret.
I may be taking this all out on Sebastian, I’m well aware that this is all my fault, but damn that man fucks with my head on a level I have no idea how to handle.
A few sleepless nights and unquenchable desire and I toss all my morals out the window.
There’s no one to blame but myself.
