Zoe snuggled up against her for only a moment, then suddenly pushed her down and climbed on top of her.
“Are you sure?” Julie had her hands on Zoe’s waist.
“Don’t ask questions.”
Zoe kissed her. A hard, impatient kiss that made Julie gasp. Her mouth trailed down Julie’s collarbone, to her breasts, to her stomach. Julie couldn’t move any more. She hadn’t expected Zoe to take such initiative. Zoe’s lips went below her stomach and Julie swallowed.
“Wait.” Julie could already feel Zoe’s fingers pulling at her shorts.
Zoe looked up.
“Are youreallysure you want to do this?”
“I saiddon’t ask questions.” Zoe smiled and ripped Julie’s clothes away, leaving her out in the open.
Julie’s heart was hammering in her chest. She grabbed the bedsheets. Zoe’s mouth continued its trail down to Julie’s naked thighs. It was driving Julie crazy with anticipation. It really wasn’t something she’d expected to happen coming to this wedding. To be fair, it wasn’t really something she’d expected to ever happen.
She let out a loud groan when she felt Zoe’s tongue working against her, slowly moving up and down. Julie was overcomewith uncontrollable spasms, her fingers were grabbing the bedsheets so hard she thought she would tear them apart. Zoe continued her work and her hands slowly moved up to Julie’s breasts, teasing her nipples. It was all too much for Julie who felt something coming from deep down in her core. The college girl she’d known had turned into someone new. Someone who wasn’t scared of showing Julie how she felt about her.
Julie lost complete control of herself and moved against Zoe’s tongue until she cried out. Her hands let go of the bedsheets and she held onto Zoe’s head, never wanting her to stop. She trembled and tensed up for what felt like an eternity before Zoe moved away and took her into her arms. Julie had a hard time coming back to reality.
She was lying naked, vulnerable, shuddering, her body pressed against Zoe’s.
Julie grinned, out-of-breath. “Not bad for a beginner.”
“Let’s just say, I’ve given this some thought.” Zoe kissed her cheek.
Julie shivered at the touch. “Really?”
“Of course, you nerd. Why is it so hard to believe?”
“Well I mean…” Julie turned to face Zoe, but she was stopped mid-sentenced by Zoe’s index finger in front of her lips.
“Don’t say anything, please. Not tonight.” Zoe’s dark eyes were smouldering.
“OK.” Julie grabbed the blanket and covered the both of them with it. “Not tonight.” She wrapped her arms around Zoe, who fit perfectly against her.
Julie drifted away, limbs tangled and tired. The weight of Zoe against her was reminding her that this was all real. She fell asleep thinking she was the luckiest woman alive.
Just like she had ten years ago.
Chapter 28
Zoe opened her eyes and immediately felt Julie’s arms secured around her. She closed her eyes again, half-hoping this was a dream before realising what it meant.
Shit.
She’d promised herself nothing stupid would happen with Julie. But they’d gone there and beyond. And yet, Julie’s soft skin against hers made her want to stay exactly like this forever. She couldn’t stay here, she had to go and put as much space as possible between them. There were only two days left for her to survive in Belgium. Then she could go back to London and try to fix this mess.
Zoe tried to extract herself from bed, slowly lifting Julie’s arms away.
“Hmm.” Julie mumbled, still asleep. “No, stay.” She tightened her grip against Zoe. She felt Julie’s knee nestling its way between her legs and settling there. Zoe pushed her aside and jumped out of bed before it escalated into something else. She’d forgotten that she was still completely naked and started looking for her clothes from the night before, scattered all across Julie’s floor.
A loud knock came at the door.
Julie sprang up and looked at Zoe, absolute terror in her eyes. She was instantly wide awake.
“Julie? Are you awake?” It was Alice’s voice. “The hairdresser is here.”
