I kissed along her collarbone, “You once told me you could only get pregnant in your home field. Whenever you’re ready, I’ll bed you in those soft grasses until you carry our child.”

“Let’s get lots of practice in the meantime,” she chuckled.

I growled possessively. “I intend to make youveryaccustomed to being filled with my seed in the interim.” My words were filthier than I had intended them to be, but the idea of her belly round against me while I was rooted inside of her was enough to nearly make me come without friction. One day, when she was ready, I would make it my life’s work to protect her and the beautiful child we would create together.

I wrapped a hand around her lower back, the other finding her clit and pressing into it. She whimpered at the stimulation, and I was sure to focus my attention accordingly as I rocked her hips back and forth. The ridge closest to my base popped in andout with the slight movement of each thrust, creating awealthof sensation.

“Graysen, I’m going to come,” she breathed.

“Shatter for me, baby girl. I’ve got you.” I let go long enough to pull her head to my shoulder before returning to my pulsing.

She let out a cry as her core locked around me, a wave of spasms gripping my cock as arousal spilled over my lap. It was too much. The heat. The slick embrace. The way my heart needed her body and desperately wanted to claim it as mine for eternity.

I growled as my ridges tightened, my own orgasm crashing through me and releasing inside of her sacred body. My hand rested on her stomach where I could feel the pressure of my cock pressing inside of her core. One day, this exact experience would make something beautiful. In the meantime, she was mine to explore. Mine to ravish. Mine to worship.

“I love you,” she mumbled into my throat.

“I love you endlessly, Faeryn.” I wrapped my arms around her back and held her tight against me. We would stay like this as long as she’d allow it, because I never wanted to be anything less than one divine entity again.

Faeryn

“You’re sure it was this one?” I asked, standing on what might as well have been a large sand dune in the middle of the ocean. There was a small region of grass and trees at its oblong center, but the land was hardly an “island”. I could see the water on the other side from where we stood.

“There aren’t many options between the Western Continent and Eitrea,” Graysen responded, lugging boxes of supplies from our carriage to establish camp.

Two seasons had passed since Graysen and I had begun settling into our new home amongst the dragons. He had dedicated himself fully to establishing some sense of normalcy for us, using the tools he packed to chop trees and build his best attempt at a cabin. The hanging door made of reeds backed up to the perimeter of my field, allowing its magic to be the first thing I experienced when stepping into the world every morning. Ragen had assured Graysen he would bring some manuals to help us build other comforts like a water pump, bathtub, and a superior roof.

Frankly, the rough edges didn’t bother me. I was surrounded by nature, life, and energy. I pranced barefoot through my field, rode dragons over oceans, and indulged innative fruits and vegetables that were freshly gathered every day. Eitrea was my playground, a safe haven to fall more in love with myself and Graysen during the political chaos on the mainland. When we returned to Virylan, which I was certain we would, I would be a fully formed woman ready to take on the world.

Water bubbled to the right before a singular Silvate broke through the surface. It pulled a small carriage; Mykie and Ragen. The yard of our home provided their organization incentive to begin offering Silvates in addition to cars. I was glad the barn was going to good use, and hoped the ability to pass through large bodies of water undetected would benefit their cause.

The sealed door slid open, and Mykie stepped out. Her magenta scales adopted a golden sheen in the springtime starlight. Ragen, comically large in comparison to the doorway, ducked to follow. Mykie must've had to sit in his lap for them to both fit in such a small hull. My mouth pulled up in the corner at the thought. Standing in the sand, her black eyes were wide and alert, taking in our residency. It was out of range of the dragons, and far from any routes of typical sea travel. We had been assured there was no risk of predation or detection.

“How many times have you done a cross-ocean trip?” Mykie jabbed her thumb in the direction of the carriage behind her with a look of discomfort-induced judgment.

“More than I can count,” Graysen grinned, immediately stepping forward and lifting her into a big bear hug.

“It fuckingsucked,” she squeaked through her squeezed ribs.

“We’ll get a more comfortable carriage once we have the resources,” Ragen offered self-consciously, scratching the back of his head.

Graysen lowered Mykie down and she turned to me, making the first move in closing her cool arms around my shoulders. “Are you hanging in there?”

“I’m wonderful,” I beamed. “How are things in Virylan?”

“Oh, you know.” She shrugged. “Same old. Wheels are turning but the gears are slow, tedious, and bloody.”

“Mykie has been instrumental in forming a strategy for tackling these facilities,” Ragen added with contrasting optimism. “The information she pieced together helping you guys has been crucial in advising the higher-ups.”

“He’s avoiding telling you that I got fired,” she chuckled with exasperation.

“You were fired?” I immediately recognized that asmyfault.

“I did steal aloooootof company resources for personal use.”

“She wasn’t fired.” Ragen rolled his eyes. “She was moved to the strategic sector where she can apply that big brain of hers.”

“They took away my access to everything except for the board room.” She rolled her eyes. “I was fired.”
