“I’ll be coming out to the stables later,” Olivia said as I topped my thermos and packaged croissants into Tupperware.

“What for?”

“I need to speak to Lorenzo, and because there should be something coming for him,” she said with a big smile. “I think he likes me, well, he flirts with me.”

Every impulse told me to rub it in her face that he was probably just being nice to her, but those impulses were childish, and I was not about to regress without Daddy Lorenzo around. Although fighting for him, I could see happening if she still thought he was straight.

“Oh, for the cameras,” I said. “Yeah, that should be good. He’ll get more free time that way.”

“Good, then he can help me outline a plan on what we need to do to get some type of horse-riding school up off the ground,” she added.

“And he’ll also be able to help me with the animal upkeep,” I said. “You know, since it’s getting colder, they need more eyes on them, and I think he’s got a perfectly good set of them to help me.”

Her upper lip turned into a snarl almost before she drank more coffee. “See you later then,” she said, waving me off almost dismissively.

It wasn’t my sister’s fault she was a grump, my dad put her in that position, and she was just one bad day away fromleaving the ranch altogether, but for me, it wasn’t a thought I would ever entertain. I didn’t want to be out there in the world renting or working a nine-to-five, sitting around at a computer all day, my limbs yearned to stomp through wet soil and trudge through morning snow. Unfortunately, I would have to wait for winter for that, but until then, I had the orange and red leaves changing and falling around me to look forward to each morning.

Lorenzo was outside the stables when I walked towards him, his arms out. I pushed the thermos into his hand. “It’s just one today, my sister was up, so I—”

“Not the coffee,” he said, “I want you.” He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a deep embrace, and squashing the Tupperware between us, and thankfully not the croissants. He planted a kiss on my forehead, and then another on my lips. “I missed you.”

“Missed you too,” I whispered back, kissing up at his face. “I brought breakfast.” I freed the hand with the Tupperware and gently shook it.

14. LORENZO

I’d been awake for a while, mostly because now sleeping on the floor in the stable didn’t actually seem all that comfortable. I snuck out earlier to shower and when I got back, the horses were still resting. I think they knew there was a big day ahead of them, all four of them, and I was going to need Jace’s help now more than ever.

He’d come to me armed with coffee and croissants, and I pulled away after a kiss.

“Why are you awake so early?” he asked. “At least this time I’m not catching you with your—” His eyes dipped by my waist, looking to where my cock was. “I—”

“It’s ok,” I chuckled. “I told you, I’m usually first to wake, but I also figured you could use a hand, and in return, I get a hand back.”

He audibly gulped.

“Not that type of hand, but with the horses.”

“Oh, yeah, I knew that. I was just thinking that’s what you meant.”

“Good, because it is,” I told him. “And there’s a couple gold stars in it for a good boy.”

His tongue pressed between his teeth like an invitation to touch his tongue with mine, I wanted to be biting on it, and feeling it submit to the will of my mouth. At least now, I didn’t have to think these things, I could act on them. And I did, pulling him in once more for a kiss, this time, tasting the coffee on his tongue, freshly brewed it seemed on his warm tongue.

“That’s a taste of the reward you’ll get,” I whispered to him.

“Ok, Daddy,” he whispered back.

I pushed my fingers through the hair on the back of his head, careful not to whack his Stetson off. I liked that title the most, it was an ultimate show of dominance to have it, but a soft dominance, where all I wanted to do was play in return.

“Also, Olivia will be coming over soon, so we might not be able to be all over each other,” he said.

“I guess that means we’ll have to keep what I have in store for you behind a locked door,” I said, tipping his head back and kissing him once more. “If you can wait for it.”

That slow, submissive nod with those big eyes had my cock chubbed, and he was going to make my day even harder with how much of it we were about to spend together.

We had some coffee and the croissants before we dug into the day’s work ahead. I tried to time it so that we finished when I’d normally take the horses out. It was important for them to get out of their stables, and I was sure they were jealous of Mary who was able to gallop around in the freedom of a field all day.

The eggs were collected, the goats were milked, and Diane was flirting with me again, trying to get me to try her cheeses, which she’d worded in a way that sounded like a euphemism, and I didn’t know for what, but the idea of it being cheese related almost made any hunger I’d worked up vanish.
