I came with a sharp cry. The harness pressed perfectly against me, sending shocks of pleasure rolling through me in hot, endless waves. My stomach clenched. I buried my face in her neck, gasping, half-moan, half-whimper, as it tore through me—deep, consuming, overwhelming.

I somehow remembered to keep moving my hips, to keep meeting her thrust for thrust, even as aftershocks rippled through me.

Her orgasm followed mine, only moments later. She collapsed against my chest as her body shook.

“Lex.Fuck.” She drew out the curse.

My heart took its sweet time slowing down. The rise and fall of Eva’s chest gradually synced with mine.

I tilted her chin and brushed my lips against hers.

“You good?” I asked softly.

“Better than good,” she murmured. “You?”

“I’m not entirely sure I’m still alive.”

My quip earned me a tired laugh. “You’re welcome.”

We were both sticky and slightly overheated, but neither of us moved. I stroked my hand down her back. My fingers traced the curve of her spine. I could feel her body settling, unwinding.

“What got into you tonight?”

She smirked. “Besides you?”

I snorted and buried a laugh in her hair. “Smart ass.”

“I don’t know,” she said after a moment. “Our conversation the other day—how we’re not normal twenty-two year olds. Ithink it bugged me. I think … “ She paused. “I just wanted to be reckless. For one night. Like a normal twenty-two-year-old. Not Eva Montgomery, walking brand. Not the family-friendly version with the media training and the scheduled appearances and the sponsors to think about.”

“You didn’t seem too conflicted about it,” I observed.

“I wasn’t,” she said quietly. “That’s the thing. I didn’t feel guilty. I just feltgood.” She trailed her fingertips across the tops of my shoulders, in an absent-minded but loving touch. “And I think a part of me knew you wouldn’t let me go off the deep end too much. That you would keep us both safe.”

Something clenched sweetly in my chest.

“You are,” I said. “Safe with me.”

She touched gentle fingers to the side of my face. Her honey-brown eyes took all of me in. “You know I love you, right?”

“Yeah.” I couldn’t manage much more than a whisper. “I love you, too.”

Eva dismounted me with a quiet sound and tumbled onto the bed. “You’re gonna have your girl walking funny tomorrow.”

I shimmied out of the harness, eager to cuddle her with nothing in between us. “I can’t believe I had a hard-on in public.”

She laughed—a warm, body-deep laugh that I loved more than anything.

“Do you think anyone noticed?” I wondered. I got comfortable under the sheets and shifted closer to her, our legs immediately tangling beneath the blankets.

Eva stroked her fingertips over my stomach. Her short nails softly scratched my skin. “I think they noticed when we went to the bathroom and didn’t come back.”

“Oh, God,” I groaned. “Jazz is going to let me have it.”

“I wouldn’t worry about Jazz,” Eva noted. “But you might have turned Rayah’s head.”

“Rayah? Really?”

Eva scoffed. “You didn’t see what I saw—you were chatting it up with Briana. Rayah looked ready to devour you. Why do you think I got up to dance?”
