“So you’re not worried about anything Kebe said last night?” Emma asked as we walked down the sidewalk. “About this changing out relationships with the guys? It’s all silly, right?”

“Honestly?”

She nodded.

“I’m a little nervous about it.”

“Me too.”

“You have nothing to worry about,” I said. “Callum is in love with you. And has been for ten years. I only just started dating these guys.”

“They’re smitten with you,” she said. “I can tell.”

“But they can all go off and date whoever they want soon. Since they won’t need to be together all the time. You know?”

“Yeah.” She pressed her lips together as we tuned onto Main Street. “Let’s just focus on the positives. They all really want this cure. They’re going to be so happy.”

I imagined Otto’s smiling face. “So happy.”

“And seriously, screw Kebe.”

I laughed. “I hate how we can’t get a straight answer out of her. I’m glad we’re just going to do all the research with the guys. Because I don’t trust a word out of Kebe’s mouth.”

“I’m telling you, she’s the sinister shift in the air.”

“We can ask the guys about that too.” We walked up the front steps of the bank. I was so excited to put all the secrets and lies behind us. Yetanotherfresh start. I wasn’t used to having a boyfriend, let alone five. Hopefully they wouldn’t be too mad at me about this.

We walked into the bank. The twins were standing behind the front counter and Otto was sitting on top of it. There was only one customer. A cute little old lady who probably could have just used the machine for her deposit. Huxley was helping her, but all three guys looked up at me as I walked to the counter.

Otto whistled.

The old woman turned around. I expected her to give me a nasty look, but she just adjusted her thick glasses, smiled, and turned back to Huxley.

I realized she probably couldn’t see me very well.

Otto slid off the counter and walked over to us. “What did we do to deserve this outfit?” He lifted the front of my jacket and groaned when he saw my see-through white tank top underneath.

“Zoey,” said a deep voice. “Emma.”

I turned around to see Bennett walking out of his office. I was a little worried that he still had feelings for Emma. But his attention was solely on me.

“What happened to the outfit I picked out?” he asked.

“Well, I wasn’t just roaming around Main Street. I was coming to see you, so I wanted to look my best.”

He lowered his eyebrows. “Whose varsity jacket is that?”

“Eh. Just some guy I dated back in high school. No one important.”

“Take it off,” he said.

I knew it was bad for Bennett to be jealous. But it was so hot when he was. “As you wish.” I started to pull off my jacket.

“Jesus, Zoey.” He grabbed the sides of my jacket and pulled it back into place. “Your shirt is see-through.”

“I know.” I smiled up at him.

He shook his head and grabbed my hand, pulling me into his office. He slammed the door behind me and dropped my hand. “Take it off,” he said again.
