I groaned.
“We’re all going to be pack, right?” he asked, thumb drifting up to her chin as he grazed his teeth along her ear, words directed at her now. “What if you can’t take us both?”
“I can!” She sounded offended.
Knox was adjusting the blankets, and I could hear his zipper.
“No.” A growl rumbled in my chest before I could stop it. “Get. Out.”
No way.
Her eyes were fixed on mine, though. “Alpha, please?”
“No.”
Ignoring me entirely, Knox settled back in behind her. I looked between them. Her petite frame was still locked against me, which meant I couldn’t lunge at him like every instinct was demanding I do.
“Here’s the deal,” Knox said. “If Rogue can’t play nice, neither will I.” He released her neck, dropping his grip to her hips, and drove forward.
I caught her, a growl in my throat as she let out a whine. Her nails scrambled at my chest, her eyes wide. Had he just—But of course he had. I could fucking feel him taking up space in her.
She cupped my cheeks, eyes wide.“Behave!”
Me?
I hated him.
“I could just put a bullet in his skull and be done with it.”
“Rogue!”She sounded affronted, but let out another little gasp as he began to draw out of her far too slowly. I grit my teeth, trying not to focus on how flushed she looked, lips parted and eyes almost crossing as she felt him.
“I knew your perfect body would be able to take us both,” Knox growled. She’d surrendered in the bond already the same way she had earlier.
She was happy.
Really happy.
Fine.
Fucking. Fine.
It was hard to resist following her climax when her cunt clenched that tight around me. I just really resented Knox’s bright eyes gleaming behind her as she turned into a shivering puddle between us.
FIFTEEN
ROGUE
The next day we returned to the mansion to find Ace out and about.
Knox had dug out the old shock collar and put a muzzle on him, but it still raised my hackles to find him in the ballroom, sitting on that same armchair I’d found him in all those years ago. He had one of my mother’s old history books open and was reading with intensity.
Thistle didn’t notice him right away. The armchairs were a good distance from the entry, and she was focused on doing hopscotch over the blood splatters still staining the ballroom floor.
She froze, though, almost wobbling onto a brownish splatter, then spun, eyes scanning the room as if she’d caught his scent. Her gaze landed straight on Ace, who hadn’t looked up.
Her whole demeanour changed.
I turned on Knox. “You let him out?” My hiss was just for him.
