Food.

How long had passed since her heat started? I had no idea how long I was out.

Dazed and still shivering from the heat, she wasn’t ready to let me go, and let out a furious hiss of distress when I tried to tuck her in between Ace and Knox.

So, I made do with letting her cling to my back, legs tangled around my waist, loose hair tickling my shoulders. My neck ached, and I touched two fresh bites upon my skin.

It had to be her. Bella had bitten me back. But the rage I thought Ishouldfeel didn’t surface.

I staggered to the cracked door, dreading what I’d see beyond. My fingers grappled with it, and I ripped it back, blinking in the light, but?—
