I take his hand in mine and squeeze. “You didn’t. This isamazing, Dax. And it’s something we’ve watched together, which makes it even more cool. Who are you most excited to see?”
My alphas start to geek out with me, especially Jett because one of his favorite TV actors is supposedly a guest star in this episode. When it comes time to be quiet and watch the taping, my body is so full of anticipation that I feel like I could cry, but my guys are there, lending me their hands for support. Jett holds my my hand tight, his own excitement obvious in the way he squeezes me, and Dax keeps his arm around me, sneaking glances of my smile every couple minutes. Everett has to cough down his laughter at certain parts, not used to having to keep his reactions so silent. He accidentally lets out a snort at some point that has the director calling a cut, which causes the rest of us to discreetly giggle at him.
Afterwards, we’re on a high and not ready to go home, so Dax takes us to a bar down the street that plays live music. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever eaten and the company left nothing to be desired. They all snuck touches throughout the night whenever they could. Jett’s fingers swiping over mine, Everett discreetly scent marking me every chance he got. Dax was back in high spirits, dancing and convincing the rest of us to do the same. Our prime kept us from getting kicked out, but it was close. We were apparently too loud even for a nighttime bar inNew York City, but it’s not our fault that the cover ofCome On Eileenwas freaking magic.
As we get back to the condo, it really starts to hit me that there isn’t any real stability between us. My omega craves it, deeply, and I had been ignoring it on the caution of taking things slow. But this isn’t some ordinary dating scenario we have found ourselves in. This pack is destined for me, and it’s never been more clear to me than it is right now.
This isn’t another tragedy like my parents. My fear of repeating the cycle was doing nothing but keeping me from real love and happiness, and I don’t want it to anymore. The people I see in the support group, they’ve found ways to cope and ways to move forwards… ways totrustpeople even though it doesn’t feel natural. I let these guys in and they didn’t disappoint me in the slightest.
So I don’t want to wait another second. I want to be theirs, completely, and without any hesitation.
FORTY-THREE
I should feel nervous, but the anxiousness is overridden by the pure desire coursing through me at the thought of claiming each of them tonight. My omega is done waiting, and she makes that clear by sending up a growl of impatience in my throat. Dax laughs, completely unaware of my thoughts or the reason behind my random aggression.
“Why the rush, Omega?” he jokes, teasing me by trailing a finger down my arm, but I’m not having it. I grab him by his collar and pull him into me, our lips meeting in a tangle of wills.
Dax kisses like a man starved. It’s the best kind of battle I’ve ever been in. His lips are on mine, demanding entrance, and then fighting me for dominance. It’s inevitable that he always wins, but I love putting up a good fight, and I think he does too. When my knees start to go weak, he grins against my mouth.
“Oh, you really are riled up?” He realizes with a huge grin on his face. “Should we go to your nest then, Omega?”
He doesn’t have to ask me twice. I march there, my handstill clutched in his shirt as I pull him with me. Everett and Jett must not want to be left out because they trail after us, completely ready to fall into a pile with me and christen the new room.
“We still need to go back to the penthouse and get our stuff,” Everett points out but I practically hiss at him.
“It can wait,” I say, my tone feral and harsh. I feel something stirring deep inside me, like my omega is worried. Like I might talk myself out of going through with this. But I place my hand on my chest, trying to reassure her that we’re the same. Everett notices the change and comes over, lending me a grounding hand.
“What’s going on?—”
“I want to bond,” I blurt out and then I close my eyes, scared of their reaction.
“Omega…” I hear, and then I’m opening my eyes back up and meeting brown eyes that swirl with gold, nothing but fondness found in them. Everett puts my hand on his chest, right above his heart. It beats with a frenzy that matches mine. “That’s the best news I’ve ever heard.”
All I can do is nod, feeling emotional from his reaction. “I’m sorry I took so long,” I whisper.
“You took the time you needed,” he responds. “I don’t regret a single moment of it. Every part of you is mine, just as every part of me is yours.”
I blink my eyes, swearing to myself that I won’t cry. I look at my other alphas, their expressions just as eager and in awe as their prime’s.
Jett moves to my side and rubs his cheek on my shoulder, scent marking me. “Will we have time for her heat?” he asks Everett directly. “What about school? We only have the extended weekend.”
Our prime shakes his head. “I’m pretty sure you can missclass when it comes to an omega’s heat cycle. We’d have to officially go public as a pack and find a place to live, because packs aren’t allowed to live in campus housing, but it’ll be worth it.” He pushes my hair behind my ear with a cheeky grin. “I think I’ll put my mark right here”—he brushes the spot beneath my ear with his thumb—“so it’s both hidden and on display at the same time.”
The sentence has its desired effect immediately as it hits me right between my thighs. I clench them involuntarily, the aggressive impatience subsiding as a more sultry feeling slivers beneath my skin.
“How about we give our mate what she wants?” Everett says with a husky tone, like the impatience I felt moments ago has worked its way inside of him. His hand goes around my throat and the revered way he squeezes me causes my body to go limp in his arms. He lifts me up when I let out a whine, carrying me over to the bed.
My clothes are stripped from my body fast, like they can’t wait another second to see me or get their hands on me, and my omega revels in it. Everett lies down on top of me and kisses his way down my body, his tongue working slow and sensually, devoted to my pleasure. When he gets between my legs, he looks up at me and gives a smug grin just before he descends exactly where I want him.
“Oh,fuck.” My hand grips the hair on top of Everett’s head, his tongue hitting all the right spots. My toes curl against the mattress and I try to push my hips forward but he holds me down, his arm heavy against my lower belly that’s starting to flip with each lick.
“That’s it, Omega,” Dax says at my side. He takes a nipple between his fingers, rolling it and then pinching enough to pull a noise from me. “Is our prime fucking you well with his tongue? I can’t wait to have a taste.” He nips my ear and mythighs close even tighter around Everett’s head. He groans, the grip on my thighs almost bruising in the most delectable way.
Everett pulls back, making space beside him. “Come down here,” he orders, and I watch wide eyed as Dax takes up residence beside his best friend and moves one of my legs behind his shoulder. Everett is still watching me, a devious tilt in his eyebrow as Dax continues where he left off, unhurried as he drinks me up like I’m his favorite drink. He moans, losing himself in it. The new speed makes me throw my head back, completely overtaken by the intensity of it. Long, quick licks that have me pouring murmured expletives as I lose myself as well.
Everett crawls to my side to give Dax more room, soothing me with sweet touches. Jett is on the other side, keeping his distance but watching with pure lust in his gaze. They take us in fully, their attention captured.
My blond alpha gives a satisfied hum and moves his fingers to my entrance. “Fuck, Omega,” he breathes. “You aremagnificent. Is all of this for me?”
